Announcement of New Video Cards Based on Radeon RX 6700 XT from ASUS
ASUS has introduced new graphics cards based on the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. Three new items are included in the ROG Strix, TUF Gaming and Dual series.
Radeon RX 6700 XT is a mid-range card that will allow you to comfortably play at 1440p resolution - it should ultimately compete with models GeForce RTX 3060 Ti и GeForce RTX 3070 (at least that's what the Reds say).

The 3D Accelerator is based on the AMD Navi 22 core in a 40 Compute Unit (CU) configuration and has 12GB of 192-bit GDDR6 memory. The power consumption (TBP) is rated at 230W and the manufacturer recommends using a PSU of at least 650W.
ASUS has prepared three non-reference versions of the Radeon RX 6700 XT: ROG Strix OC, TUF Gaming OC and Dual. The cards are equipped with improved cooling, and in the first two models we can also count on the factory frequency (exact values are not yet known).
ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 6700 XT OC
ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 6700 XT OC is the top version of the manufacturer, which should interest the most demanding customers. The design of the card should not come as a surprise, because tested by us ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 6800OC looks very similar.
The accelerator is cooled by a proprietary cooler with a massive heatsink, nickel-plated heat pipes and three fans — the design is designed for low temperatures and quiet operation (the card works passively at rest and at low load, additionally silent mode).
The manufacturer has provided a standard set of image outputs: HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4. However, it is worth noting that the card requires two 8-pin power plugs to be connected.
ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6700 XTOC;
The TUF Gaming model is also a proprietary version and should not surprise us (similar cooling was used in the more efficient Radeon RX 6000 models).
The cooling used includes a massive heatsink with nickel-plated heat pipes and three large fans. The manufacturer claims low temperatures and a high work culture (including passive operation and BIOS switching). However, it is worth noting that the card occupies 2,9 slots and is over 32 cm long.
Video outputs include one HDMI 2.1 and three DisplayPort 1.4. As with the ROG Strix version, two 8-pin PCIe PEG connectors are required for the card to work properly.
ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6700;
The ASUS Dual Radeon RX 6700 model should represent a slightly lower segment, but the interesting style cannot be denied - the manufacturer has chosen a modern design with thin LED backlighting.
The card has more modest cooling than the ROG Strix and TUF Gaming models. The design consists of a massive heatsink, several heat pipes and two fans - the cooler must provide the optimum temperature and be quiet enough (passive mode is also not forgotten). The user can choose one of two modes of operation: silent and efficient.
In terms of connectors, there is one HDMI 2.1 output and three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs. Power is supplied through 8- and 6-pole sockets (similar to the reference version of the card).
The ASUS ROG Strix Radeon RX 6700 XT OC, TUF Gaming Radeon RX 6700 XT OC, and Dual Radeon RX 6700 cards are expected to go on sale on March 18, but pricing has yet to be announced.
