Genshin Impact World Level Up Guide

World Tier determines the rarity of loot dropped by enemies and found in treasure chests, allowing you to equip your party with incredibly powerful gear. However, increasing your world level comes with new challenges. In fact, the once-weak Hilichurl camps, earth artery outcrops, and bosses that populate the outside world will appear significantly stronger, requiring everyone to increase the skills needed to defeat them. 

You will also notice that more powerful enemies will begin to roam the lands of Teyvat, forcing you to choose your fights much more carefully than ever before. While it may seem a little intimidating at first, increased rewards and the ability to maximize your characters' levels and weapons with elevations well worth the extra risk.

How to Level Up the World Level in Genshin Impact

To begin with, you should understand that the overall world level directly depends on the current adventure rank, which is why you should focus on increasing this indicator. For example, raising the first world level will occur at the twentieth adventure rank:

• World level 1: Automatically unlocked upon reaching Adventure Rank 20.
• World level 2: Upon reaching Adventure Rank 25, you need to complete an intermediate quest that will be highlighted in your task log.
• World level 3: Automatically unlocked upon reaching Adventure Rank 30.

Once you reach Adventure Rank 25, you will be able to level up your World Level by completing the Adventure Rank Up 1 quest. This quest is given automatically and should appear in your peace missions. To start ascending, you first need to head to Starcatcher's Rock and enter the dungeon"Cleansing the Ruins«.

It is recommended that your party be at least level 35, but you can still complete the challenge if you are below that level. Most of the enemies in this dungeon are very weak to Pyro, Cryo, Anemo, and Hydro, so we recommend having at least two of these items before you start the challenge.

There are four rooms in total, and you'll need to defeat a combination of Hilichurls, Samachurls, Ruin Guardians, Mitachurls, and Pyro Agent Fatui if you want to get to the final boss. To increase your chances of success, we recommend taking out ranged/melee units before focusing on the mini-boss in each room. This will help you avoid unnecessary damage, giving you the opportunity to use your big elemental combos against real strong attackers. 

In the final challenge, you will face Electro Hystasis, who you must defeat within 8 minutes if you want to clear the dungeon. Consider using any cryo units to land ice attacks, as this will lower the target's defense and deal heavy AoE damage with Superconductivity (Create an icy area first with a Cryo AoE attack, then add Electro to it). Not only will this method greatly increase your party's DPS, but it will also reduce the time it takes to defeat that electrified cube.

As we can see, the world level will increase every five new levels of adventure after reaching the twentieth rank. It should be remembered that upon reaching the next level of the world, you will not be able to roll back the upgrade. Therefore, before moving to the next level, be sure to upgrade your squad and equip your companions properly.
