Season XNUMX of Fortnite has officially begun, and as always, that means the game's map has undergone major changes. Three new POIs have been added to the island, and the Guardians of the Spire have appeared in the prehistoric biome.
Fortnite Season 6 Update v16.00 chock full of new features, including crafting weapons and taming animals, but one of the most exciting things is all the changes to the island.
Epic Games recognizes that playing the same map over and over again can be tiring, so with each seasonal update, they add new points of interest to keep the map fresh while removing boring or unpopular locations.
With the Season 6 update, the center of the map has taken on a prehistoric biome, a direct result of the Final Crisis event. Three new locations appeared inside it, as well as six Spire Defenders. Here you will find every Fortnite Chapter 6 season 2 map change.
Prehistoric Map Season 6 Fortnite
The Fortnite map has undergone a fairly significant change, with the Primal biome extending from the middle of the island to cover a significant portion of the map.
Six arms protrude from the center, at the ends of each are the Guardians of the Spire. Right in the middle is the Spire, where, thanks to the Foundation, there is a closed Ground Zero.
Spire
The epicenter used to be at the center of the island, and although it can still be found there, it is now enclosed in a massive Foundation-built tower called the Spire.
Fortnite players can climb the tower to reach any enemy, while small buildings are built around the base of the Spire where loot can be collected.
Colossal crops
The colossal Colosseum was a fixture in Fortnite Season 5, but unfortunately for POI fans, it's now gone. Instead, a farm known as Colossal Crops took its place.
Only a few walls of the Colosseum are left standing, and since the buildings in this area are quite small and spaced apart, it will be a tricky place to stay hidden.
primeval pond
The Primordial Pond is located between the Spire and the Mountain Town and is full of buildings and houses in which to search for loot.
There are also some tall buildings around this place so you can get some verticality for your enemies if you find yourself in a firefight.
Guardians of the Spire
There are six Guardians in Fortnite Season 6 that can be found at the end of the arms of the Primal Desert that extend from the Spire.
These are smaller versions of the central location, but keep in mind that they are guarded by Guardians who are determined to protect their territory and prevent players from looting.
