Fortnite Team Kicked Out Of FNCS After Unheard Of Audacity
A trio of Fortnite pro gamers have been disqualified from the FNCS after one of the players told Epic Games' chief creative officer to "kill yourself."
The team qualified for the FNCS Grand Finals in the NA East Region and was scheduled to play this weekend, but the whole thing was halted due to comments from one of the players, "Wrigley". Playing with Dictate and Userz Wrigley sent a Tweet addressed to Epic Games Chief Creative Officer Donald Mustard. The now-deleted tweet (along with Wrigley's entire account) read: “f**king k!ll your$elf @DonaldMustard.”
On March 14, teammate Wrigley revealed that they had been disqualified by sharing a letter he received from Epic Games.
The notice reads: “We are writing to inform you of your team's disqualification and removal from the FNCS Chapter 2 Season 5 competition, effective immediately. Based on an internal investigation, a member of your team has violated section 8.1.2 of the official rules.” The specific rule in question states that “players must respect other players, Event Administrators, spectators and sponsors (if applicable).”

This means that the team's efforts to qualify for the grand finals throughout the season were in vain, all because of one very ill-advised tweet from one of their teammates.
just played this whole season for $0 oh my fucking god

This also means that the trio is missing out on the guaranteed prize pool they would have earned even if they finished in last place.
Some fans sympathized with Diktat and Userz, who were punished for their teammate's actions.
The FNCS Grand Final continues on March 14th as players from all regions compete for massive prize money. The prize pool for NA East alone is over $690.
