14 Days Fortnite Might Return in Chapter 2
Epic Games gave Fortnite Battle Royale fans a 14-day non-stop challenge and reward period last year, and chances are we'll get something similar in Chapter 2.
The developers of Fortnite have added a number of new weekly challenges to the game since its last major update on October 15, which brought a new map and, of course, a whole host of new locations.
With snow not as common on the current island, and areas like Polar Peak, Arctic Airfield, and Holiday Village no longer appearing on the map, many players will be wondering if the map will turn into a winter wonderland with the start of Season 2.
Those who regularly jump from the battle bus in search of new victims will remember that not so long ago, the game's development team received a summer break, triggering a 14-day summer event in June.
During this time, the weekly Battle Royale updates have ceased and players have been given the opportunity to progress through a number of different missions.
With this event and the likelihood of another Christmas break being given to Epic Games staff this year, we will likely see another set of 14-day Fortnite challenges announced in the near future. Or at least something very similar.
One of the leading insiders Lucas7yoshi also predicted that Fortnite's winter theme could appear on the map after finding the start date for Season 2 in the game files.

API currently says this season ends on December the 12th/13th so it'll be christmas/winter themed.

Season 2 of Fortnite Chapter 12 is expected to wrap up on December 19, according to its developer's website, which means their official timeline is perfect for the new season to feature a fresh winter theme. Last year's event started on December XNUMXth.
Epic Games kept secrets during the first season of the new game by not releasing updates when changes are made, which prevents players from being up to date with new content.
However, this did not stop them from shuffling the deck several times already.
Since so much water has been added to the map, as well as other features related to interacting with rivers, it remains unclear what will happen if snow and ice reappear.
One can imagine that fishing will be temporarily disabled (well, or there will be holes in which you can fish out something useful), motor boats will no longer be able to work, and the terrible slippery ice that was introduced back in season 7 could return.
Whether or not this is implemented remains to be seen, but fans will certainly look forward to holiday challenges as we get closer to the game's next major update. With season 2 expected in mid-December, 14 days of Fortnite Challenges may begin shortly thereafter, flowing right before the New Year.
We just have to wait to see everything with our own eyes.
