Complete the tutorial and purchase the bounty suit
Before you can even think about fighting 9-Torg, make sure you've completed the opening episodes of High on Life. They will help you master the game's controls and story premise, allowing you to jump into your first bounty once you've acquired the bounty suit.
Talk to Jin and accept the 9-Torg contract
Armed with a suit, return to your home and talk to Jin. He will show you the brand new Bounty 5000, a machine that allows you to accept various bounty contracts found in the game. Interact with Bounty 5000 and accept a contract for 9-Torgto start the mission.
Head to the slums of Blim
After a failed attempt at warping, exit your house and make your way to the entrance to Blim City Slum. Deal with two security bots called Red and Blue at the entrance to the slums to gain access to the lower levels of the city.
Note: To unlock the path forward, simply answer which one (red or blue) is hotter. Stick to your first choice to quickly unlock the next area to explore.
Does choosing the red or blue pill matter?
The choice of red or blue security bots will not matter, since both doors lead to the same pipe anyway. While one of them will remain closed to you depending on your choice, another door will always be available even after you complete the 9-Torg bounty contract.
Kill or ignore Thrumsley
As you descend the pipes into the slums, you will encounter an alien child named Slamsley. You can either give in to his provocation and shoot him, or ignore him and press on. However, note that killing him will unlock the achievement Fallout Doesn't Let You Do This.
Explore the slums and kill the ant thugs
After you've dealt with the police bots after the Tromsley Incident, move forward and explore the slums of Blim. After a certain point, you will have to kill the Ant Roughnecks, who are part of the 9-Torg gang. Clear the area so far more ant thugs will spawn.
Talk to the alien fisherman about directions
When the area is cleared, head to a small pier where you can find an alien fisherman. Talk to him and ask where 9-Torg is. He will guide you to laundry at a distance that gives access to the 9-Torg hideout inside the large Sludge Works building.
How to get to the laundromat
Use Kenny's Glob Shot to navigate the platforms
This section of the mission will also give you a first taste of platforming and how the Trick Hole abilities of various weapons play into level exploration. To get to the laundry, use Kenny's Glob Shot to turn the platforms around and make a path forward.
Fight your way into the laundry room, killing any ant thugs that get in your way. During this combat segment, be sure to practice using Kenny's Glob Shot in combat, as this handy alt-fire mode can be used against 9-Torg during the later boss fight.
Disguise yourself as a buyer and get knives
Inside the laundry room, you will hear a conversation between two ant goons from behind a locked door. Listen and tell them you are a buyer so they open the door. Once in the room, pick up Nizi to unlock him and the achievement "Bring a knife to the gunfight". Use it to kill two Ant Roughnecks before continuing.
Use the Knifey cable to get to the slurry works
With the new bypass ability unlocked, go ahead and use Knifey's Tether to make your way to the large Sludge Works building. Kill any ant goons that get in your way before heading inside the factory.
Defeat 9-Torg and collect her DNA
Defeat 9-Torg inside your HQ. Use a mixture of Kenny's Glob Shot and Knifey's Tether abilities to disrupt and avoid some of her moves throughout the fight. After beating collect it lower jaw as proof of the completed award.
What happens if you kill 5-Torg?
Nothing will happen if you kill the 5-Thor at the end of the boss fight. While the boss's life bar may appear after you shoot her, all that happens is that you hear more dialogue from 5-Torg with every shot that hits.
Return to Bounty 5000 to claim your reward
After pinning the DNA and talking to 5-Torg, use the Cable Knives to escape through the open pipe at the back of the arena. Head back the same way you entered the slums of Blim City to get to your home and use the Bounty 5000 to claim proof of the completed bounty.
What happens if you slaughter a gene?
If you remember Nizi's earlier tirade about Jin selling him to 9-Torg, then you can stick him in the gut of an invading alien to unlock achievement Don't Knife the Hand That Feeds. This won't kill Jin, so feel free to stab him for the trophy.

As part of the main story, Jin will force you to buy a Dodge Unit using the bounty reward. After purchasing an upgrade to the Bounty 5000, 2 new rewards will be available.
How to win 9-Torg
Use Kenny Punch to juggle 9-Torg
Some attacks, such as 9-Torga's laser, will be hard to dodge as the arena gets smaller and cover becomes scarce. Use Kenny's Glob Shotto knock 9-Torg out of her attack animation by juggling her in the air so you can get a few shots.
Use the knife to deflect special attacks
When 9-Torg starts using her special attack, you can deploy Knives and use it to deflect projectiles back at her. A tooltip will pop up whenever a projectile can be deflected, so be sure to deflect them to send the 9-Torah flying and vulnerable.
Use Knifey rope to avoid toxic sludge
Trotter's Knives ability will come in handy when 9-Torg starts flooding the arena with Toxic Sludge. Avoid damage by using Tether to zipline and swing through the air while waiting for the silt flow to subside.
