Act 2 Chapter 5 - Dirty Secrets | Gears 5 Walkthrough

Keith and Del go under a glacier in search of a hidden research facility at the foot of Mount Kadar. Chapter 5 of the second act of Gears 5 begins with a slide into an underground ice cave. Move straight ahead. Laser turrets guard the entrance to the Kadar facility. Fall into their hands and you're dead.

Go to the room on the right side. Inside, you will find a generator. Use Jack's shock trap to disable the device. You managed to neutralize one tower.

Get through the first lasers, then use the cloaking device and run into the building. Inside you will find one component and a second generator, which should be neutralized in the same way as the previous one. Go to Kadar Center.

Mount Kadar - secret laboratory

Follow Niles. Now you need to take care of the cryogenic leaks so you can move on. Climb up the ladder. In the room you will find one detail.

The generator is a little further away - turn it off with a shock trap. Return to Niles and follow him.

Along the way you will find another component. Collect it and continue your exploration of the object.

You have to deal with another leak of cryogenic liquid. You must use a shield to safely cross to the other side. There is also one component in the room. You can get it while you are protected by a shield.

The generator is behind the room. You will also find a collectible board-Lexigram.

Unfortunately Niles tricked you - find a way to escape the Research Facility. Follow him. Use the protective screen and enter the room. Select the door on the right and break the ice blocking the passage.

Enter the next room. The corpse of the real Niles lies next to the console. Use his palm to log in and disable the lock. Don't forget to take the component lying nearby.

Retrieve the collectible item lying on the table individual analysis: EV-194-9.

Sketchbook, another collectible, is in the nearby dark room.

In the next room, you will have to fight several opponents fired from pods. You shouldn't have any problems defeating them.

Destroy the generator to neutralize the cryogenic liquid turrets. It is worth noting the fact that you can collect weapons from frozen characters.

The following doors are closed. You must find a way to open them. Look at the ventilation shaft and send Jack there.

More enemies will wake up. Jack needs time to open the doors - use this time to practice shooting.

As you walk further through the research facility, pay particular attention to creatures with extra legs on their backs. Try to keep them at a distance and don't let them jump towards you.

Destroy the generator behind the cryogenic turrets on the right (where the demon was running).

Soon you will face the boss. Ask Jack to open the door and enter a large frozen room.

This boss fight is very sketchy and requires a bit of patience. The enemy is blind, which means you have to lure him with noise and fire your weapon. Stand on the other side of the frozen pond and get the demon's attention. When he starts lunging at you, shoot at the ground under his feet.

The monster will fall into the water and freeze for a while. This is the best moment to go around him and shoot at the weak spot on his back. Keep doing this until the boss is dead. You have to watch out for two attacks - a spike throw and a jump. Dodge at the right moment and you will quickly defeat the enemy.
