Anemo Hypostasis is an elite boss in the Mondstadt region, located on Petrel Mountains north of Starfall Valley teleporter. It looks like a large cube with a luminous core in the center. The boss has a protected state (when cubes fly around him) and an unprotected state, during which he can take damage.

How to defeat Anemo Hypostasis

Keep your distance

Because Anemo Hypostasis is invulnerable when the cubes surround its body, it's best to keep your distance and wait for an opportunity to attack.

Choose the time to counterattack

After Anemo Hypostasis attacks, he will be vulnerable for a few seconds, which will give you the opportunity to deal some damage. It is important to understand the nature of the boss's attack in order to know when to move closer after his turn.

Take advantage of recovery spheres

When Anemo Hypostasis is low on health, it releases several floating orbs that regenerate their health after a few seconds. Try to pick them up and restore your health by using the wind vortex on the ground during this phase. This will not only heal you, but also prevent the boss from regenerating health.

Anemo Hypostasis can't move when it's vulnerable, you can use this as an opportunity to attack with abilities that take time to cast, like Lisa E's ability.

You can use Noelle's elemental ability to shield yourself in an attempt to avoid Anemo Hypostasis' attacks. This will give you extra protection and survivability while you wait for the boss to become vulnerable again.

High damage characters

Once you understand Anemo Hypostasis's attack patterns, you can easily get through the fight without taking any damage. Because of this, it's best to pick a character that can deal massive amounts of burst damage for quick clears.

Anemo Hypostasis Attacks

Combo 1

Anemo Hypostasis will pull you in and damage anyone nearby. Try to move away to get out of its area of effect, and wait for the attack to end before engaging again.

Combo 2

Move immediately and dash away to avoid the whirlwind that will appear on the ground. If you get hit by a whirlwind, it will send you flying and you won't be able to avoid the next attack. Be sure to move away from the whirlpool so as not to take a lot of damage.

Combo 3

Since this attack has a wide area of effect, try to keep your distance and wait for the attack to end. However, if you get caught within its range, you can try to move around and dodge the tornado using dash.

Combo 4

This attack is only performed when Anemo Hypostasis is low on health and can be easily avoided by jumping off the ground. Each attack takes a few seconds before another pulse follows, this will give you enough time to prepare your next attack.
