Attentive users have read the Elden Ring license agreement in full. In one of the last paragraphs, the players found a mention of the anti-cheat EasyAntiCheat. It is used in a variety of multiplayer games including Fortnite, Apex Legends and Rust.
Past games from FromSoftware - Dark Souls 3 and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - did not have anti-cheat. Apparently, the developers decided to put an end to the liberties of the attackers. In the Dark Souls series, cheaters could not only easily destroy honest players in PvP, but also erase their saves. Now this situation will become much less likely.
Users noted that the anti-cheat solution is unlikely to be related to a recent exploit that allows users to steal data while connecting to the world of another player. At the moment, the developers are still continuing to work on its elimination - the entire Dark Souls series has been offline for more than a week now.
Elden Ring will go on sale February 25 on PC and consoles. Earlier, the game director of the game explained his love for poisonous swamps, which will also appear in the new project of the studio.
