Apex Legends: Rebirth - Season 10 Release Date and New Content Recap

Apex Legends has definitely made its mark on the battle royale genre in the last two years. What started out as an interesting latecomer to the genre that many suspected would fly out after a while actually turned into one of the most popular shooters in the world. We're going to experience Season 10: Rebirth on August 3rd, and in the latest trailer Apex Legends Yes a lot of things that reveal events and gameplay.

Last week at the EA Play event, we learned more about the next legend that will appear in the game. Ciar is an intelligence specialist who is going to give Bloodhound a chance to earn his money.

New Legend Ciar

The Seer's abilities include several tracking stats, all of which are supported by nanodrones. We're still not entirely sure how this will all work, although his Ult seems pretty straightforward. You can drop a piece of equipment that generates an expanding proximity scanner. It shows the movements of enemies if they are moving fast enough to be tracked. Ciar's tactical skill allows you to track individual players, perhaps with more stealth than Bloodhide's scan. As for his passive skill, you can detect nearby heartbeat when using the weapon's ADS function.

Resource management

It also looks like the popular World's Edge map will be significantly different in the new season. While quite a few competitive players prefer things the way they are, Respawn doesn't want to stagnate forever. So he decided that he would do the logical thing and blow up the map again. The end of the world just can't catch a break and this will continue.

Respawn official word on World's End

The edge of the world has undergone a metamorphosis. After several months of aggressive drilling with a harvester, the End of the World is plowed up and down, littered and on the verge of disaster. The earth breaks into pieces and rises up - nature takes its toll. The Hammonds are trying to contain the consequences of what they've done. With the aid of weather-correcting machines, they rapidly cool the area to sub-zero temperatures near the Climatator, and construct a lava siphon to stabilize the caldera. Across the World's Edge, there is a struggle between the inevitability of change and humanity's arrogant attempts to control it.

Hello! I'm Garrett Metcalfe, Apex Legends Senior Level Designer, and today I want to share with you the changes to World's End with the Rebirth update.

OUR OBJECTIVES IN THE REBIRTH UPDATE

With the Rebirth update, we wanted to keep the World's End design philosophy as complete as possible while adding new and exciting play spaces and play experiences.

CLIMATE

Let's start with what used to be a processing plant. The factory was destroyed by hot lava and replaced by a much larger object called climatator.

The idea was that Hammond built huge towers to generate rain clouds and cool the World's End, and this new facility has the necessary equipment.

From a design standpoint, we wanted to attract more players to the northern part of World's End with a location much larger than a refinery. Accordingly, the Climaterator accommodates many more teams and provides them with much more loot.

The interior areas of the buildings are geared toward short range close combat, while the areas outside are long range combat moving through the lava rift. This design will provide a lot of interesting and multi-level battles throughout the map, and the dynamic component in the form of fast-moving gondolas will add a touch of fun.

INCREASING CRAWL

The surface of the planet is cracked along the entire length from the Climatator to the eastern fragment - and a river of hot lava connects them.

The main difference from the fault in the north is that there is no mechanics of lifting into the air due to updrafts. Instead, the river, like any lava on the map, can be moved, taking damage with each step.

The new rift will force players to make more meaningful decisions when running around the northern part of the map, as well as create noticeably cramped areas for combat.

GONDOLAS

We're adding a little more of the dynamism that trains once provided at World's End, but this time there's something new. We are introducing moving gondolas in two new areas - the Climatator and the Lava Siphon. These movable gondola carts will provide you and your squad a safe path through dangerous lava and the right areas, albeit in tight quarters.

We think gondolas are a lot of fun and we hope they add amazing combat elements to the game. Looking forward to more videos from the community!

LAVA SIPHON

The sorting plant was swallowed up by a huge sinkhole and replaced with a large area called "Lava Siphon". Hammond built a huge funnel lava pumping facility to contain lava flows all over the World's End.

Basically, with this location, we wanted to give you a completely new gaming experience. We wanted to move away from the traditional freeform that was inherent in the Sorting Plant and introduced the possibility of chaotic firefights that stand out from other warzones on World's End.

The large Lava Siphon structure is built into the mountain, which will lead to a lot of exciting close-range combat, as well as an additional entry/exit point to the already existing train tunnel system.

Another amazing element of the Lava Siphon is a giant funnel. It forces you to make more informed decisions when disembarking and moving around the facility. This funnel acts in the same way as the elongated fault in the north, which we talked about earlier. It can also be moved around, taking damage upon contact with lava.

The aforementioned gondolas are also present in the Lava Siphon, however, the path they follow is much longer than on the Climatator, and it passes through the central building on the funnel. We've seen amazing fights in internal testing, including on the gondolas in the central station, so we're looking forward to when all of you in the community can try it out.

LANDSLIDE

Recent seismic activity caused a landslide that destroyed the depot.

Our main goal here was to prevent the protracted fighting that took place around the depot, as well as to improve the patency of the tunnels that give access to the western fragment.

We've simplified the layout to make the fights easier to understand and reduce the number of buildings that teams will have to hold.

Don't worry, the Landslide is still considered an important map area and contains almost the same amount of loot as the Depot, it's just that it is scattered around much more here. (In addition, we have removed the hot zone from this point.)

CHANGES IN CLIMATE AND SKY TEXTURES

In the Rebirth update, the skies at World's End will showcase daylight hours with brighter, cooler lighting. We took into account the feedback from the gaming community and returned the previous lighting model to the map, adding a little to it.

There are also seasonal changes in the weather, with more snow in the northern region. Let us know what you think of the new map look!

NEW ROUTES

We also wanted to improve game dynamics a bit and add a couple of new route options in the Rebirth update.

VIEWPOINT

We have added a transition point at the Lookout cul-de-sac to give players another opportunity to enter and exit the lot. This is a minor fix, but we think players will appreciate it.

NEW ROUTE IN THE WEST

We are also implementing a new route connecting the Geyser and the Lookout. This route branches off from the cave tunnel in the center and leads north. This will improve access to points in the north of the map and give teams another option to pass through the area.

We've been working on this map update with great pleasure and can't wait for you to try it out! As always, thanks for playing and we look forward to hearing from you as soon as this update is released.

New weapon machine gun "Fury"

We also finally got to know more about how the new Rampage LMG will work. As in the previous trailer, the weapon's ammo source will be Thermite grenades. Strange, huh? It looks like each grenade will act like a cartridge that will discharge over time. How this will affect actual firepower remains to be seen. By the way, I think it's a pun.

You can also slow down the trailer Apex Legends, to check out the many new Season 10 cosmetics that have been teased in gameplay. The Golden Kraber certainly looks like a good fit, and the Viking Bloodhound is also sure to be popular.
