Archon Announced as Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies Final Map

The developers of Call of Duty: Vanguard Zombies have announced The Archon as the final map and have confirmed that it will be round.
Originally CoD Zombies was an endless round system. Vanguard moved away from that system and combined the original formula with long targets. The Zombies community didn't take the change well, and the developers backed out.
Full map remake Shi No Numa Zombies, launched in season 4. The legendary card was arguably the first round card included in Vanguard Zombies.
Treyarch followed up on their promise to return to circular gameplay and revealed The Archon.
Vanguard Zombies Devs Reveal The Archon
Kortifex The Deathless is the main antagonist of Vanguard Zombie. Treyarch's statement "Cortifex must die" implies a possible conclusion to the main storyline.
Infinity Ward has confirmed that Modern Warfare 2 will not include zombies. Archon will be the final zombie map until at least 2023. Infinity Ward has never developed a Zombies game mode, so the news shouldn't come as a surprise to many Zombies fans.
Treyarch hasn't revealed any cartographic footage or an official release date other than mentioning Season 5. We can reliably calculate based on the length of the Season 4 Battle Pass. Currently expiring August 24, which means season 5 should start on or after that date.
