Australian Open Introduces Fortnite & Twitch Drops!
Epic Games just announced that there will be free rewards for players who participate in the Fortnite Open Championship at the Australian Open.
Epic Games has officially announced that Fortnite will feature at the first Grand Slam tennis tournament of the year, the Australian Open. There will be a $100 charity prize pool for the Trios Pro-Am on Saturday and $000 for the Sunday solo tournament.
You can also play at home on February 1st and 2nd for the Summer Smash Cup game, where you can earn free rewards based on placement and eliminations. To compete, you must be at least level 15 on your Fortnite account and have two-factor authentication on your Epic Games account.

This year, the first Golden Bat tennis tournament, which takes place as part of the Australian Open, will host the Fortnite championship for the second time. The best players in Oceania will take on the brightest stars from North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America in Saturday's 100-player Pro-AM tournament (charity prize pool: AU$000) and Sunday Solo tournament (prize pool: 400 000 Australian dollars) at the Summer Smash Cup in the Australian Open with Fortnite discipline.
The Pro-AM Tournament will begin streaming on Saturday, February 1 at 05:00 AM BST, and the Singles Event will begin streaming on Sunday, February 2 at 05:30 BST. The broadcast will go to official Australian Open Twitch channel with Twitch Drops.

In order for players from nearby regions to take part in the competition, an in-game Summer Smash Cup tournament will be held for Asia and Oceania. Games will be held on February 1 and 2 from 11:00 to 14:00 Moscow time. All eligible players (in accordance with official rules) can play and receive rewards based on the places taken and the number of kills made. In addition, to participate, you must have a Fortnite account of at least level 15 and customize two-factor authentication your Epic Games account.
All eligible participants will be able to earn rewards based on their final position on the leaderboard. Splitting the competition over two days means you'll have two opportunities to claim our great prizes! Here's what you can win:
- The top 10% will receive a Street Artist outfit.
- The top 25% will receive the Street Neon Pickaxe.
- 50% of the best will receive a "Drips" wrap.
In addition, everyone who enters the Summer Smash Cup tournament will receive three Australian-themed graffiti: Shaka, Rose, and Quokka. Detailed information can be found in the official rules.
