Destiny TV series buzz builds after Bungie job listing rumors

Fan theories run wild as Bungie announces a "senior producer" job at Destiny Linear Media with hopes of adapting an animated series based on the popular Destiny 2 title.

Destiny 2 has left a deep mark on its player base since its release, both through its exceptional gameplay and stellar storyline.

As the end of the story was close to the development team, players were eager to find ways to stay in the Light and Dark saga.

A fire of hope has been lit for those who are solely committed to remaining mentally protective of the Last City on Earth by posting job postings.

Bungie has a Senior Producer position for Linear Media who is looking for someone who wants to "produce titles that expand the franchise into new categories including TV, movies, books, comics and audio formats"

Destiny 2 fans may get a deeper understanding of the universe when the TV show comes to life.

With rumors of the Destiny TV show flying around over the past year, this new announcement has convinced fans that an adaptation is well underway.

Bungire is looking for someone with "relationships with broadcast, cable, streaming and publishing partners" and "experience with licensed products and/or animation, television scripting or current programming."

It is clear that Bungie will do their best with the adaptation, in whatever format it may be.

Given the gigantic success Arcane By the end of 2021, fans are hoping to see the TV show draw heavily on the animated world, especially given the scope of the story they're trying to tell.

The success of Arcane, based on League of Legends, gave Destiny 2 fans hope for a similar adaptation.

While all speculation and rumors, Twitter users commented that the show has been in development since Sony acquired Bungie - even with some employees from Arcane.

These are rumors fueled by Sony CFO Hiroki Totoki, who in a recent investor Q&A was blunt about Sony's intention to "use Bungie's intellectual property not just for gaming, but for a whole range of uses."

Totoki continued, "A prime example would be the adaptation of popular intellectual property to films, and I understand that Bungie hopes to further develop the intellectual property it has developed by using it in a variety of media."
