Ballistic will be the next legend Apex Legends in season 17, as season 16 remains empty and will not bring new additions in the form of legends.
Ballistic is a new character that was first talked about during Season 12 of Apex Legends and has sparked interest from the audience. While we're not aware of Ballistik's past, we have enough information on the future season 17 legend thanks to leaks and teasers. Let's dive into the details:
Everything we know about Apex Legends Ballistics
Ballistic in Apex Legends, like Pathfinder, Bloodhound, Crypto, Seer and Valkyrie, will be a scout character as he will be able to provide long range support to his teammate. His abilities are geared towards weapon usage and utility, according to information revealed by the PWN hub content creator and obtained via the NightTerras leak.
They also revealed the new Apex season 17 legend, which previously had the working title Caliber.
The image of a banner with a new legend on it was published by the famous data miner HYPERMYST on December 9th. At the time, the image was extremely hazy. However, fresh information about a new legend called Ballistic appears regularly.
Ballista's appearance initially resembles Kuben Blisk. Although Respawn has shown Blisk a few times in lore clips, he has a different appearance from our new Legend, so it's unlikely that Ballistic is Blisk. While his current model is an older man with tinted glasses, this is definitely subject to change.
What's more, in terms of gameplay, a significant leak from the ApexUncovered subreddit revealed all of Ballistic's abilities.
Ballistics abilities in Apex Legends
It's been three seasons since the Assault character debuted in Apex Legends. Thus, it turned out to be quite clear that the Season 17 character would be a Legend of the Assault class. And this may have been confirmed by the most recent leaks from data miners and insiders.
The three unique Ballistics abilities that we've been leaking are incredible. The information that was released along with the image reveals the following Legend perks:
- Passive Ballistics - Weapon Sling
A sling where you can store a third weapon. Access through inventory. Sling weapons cannot accept attachments.
- Tactics Ballistics - Smart Bullet
Fires a projectile that destroys the enemy. Enemies' weapons will start to heat up as they fire. Overheating will cause a reaction and cause damage. Holding Tactical will allow him to lock onto the target.
- Ultimate - Weapon Upgrade
When activated nearby, teammates receive a buff. It grants faster reloads, unarmed movement speed, and infinite ammo. The Ballistic weapon in the sling will be equipped and upgraded to gold.
It's worth noting that Ballistic's abilities may be subject to change by the time it's released, so take the leak with a grain of salt.
However, it's entirely possible that Apex Legends season 17's legend is Ballistic, and if the leaked abilities are anything like his official kit, he has the potential to completely change the meta.
Release date for Ballistics in Apex Legends and Season 17 in general
It's hard to tell if Ballistic will be included in the Season 17 update because Respawn hasn't revealed anything about it yet.
