Like most major multiplayer games these days, Battlefield 2042 will let players test the game early on via a public beta. While the experience isn't quite complete, which means there might be some bugs and server issues along the way, beta releases often serve as a decent taste test for what's to come next.
With the new version of the legendary EA Dice series, they are adding a ton of new features, including the revolutionary Battlefield 2042 Portal. But you will be able to enter the battlefield before the game is fully released, as EA plans to release a full beta for gamers.

Battlefield 2042 Open Beta Start and End Dates and Platforms
In October, Battlefield 2042 is preparing for open beta testing.
The official open beta of Battlefield 2042 will be available to Early Access players from October 6-7 before the beta becomes available to everyone during the period October 8-9 .
Early Access is available to players who pre-order the game or have an EA Play membership. Preload will start 5 October .
The beta will include a conquest mode where "action is now centered around sectors made up of multiple flags rather than individual control points." Orbital, one of the newest additions to the map, will have players fight in "hostile environments as you fight around an imminent rocket launch."
As for the platforms it will be available on, players on PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S and PC will be able to join.
How to Access the Battlefield 2042 Open Beta Early
Battlefield fans can get early access to the 2042 Open Beta by pre-ordering.
If you want to get to 2042 as early as possible, make a reservation. No matter where you play, pre-ordering gives you early access to the open beta compared to those who don't pre-order.
This is not to say that you will get much earlier, but most likely, an additional few days will be added to your experience. But they also said that everyone will be able to try out the beta, whether you pre-ordered the game or not.
In addition, using EA Play also gives you a 10-hour trial period. This will start on October 15th, one week after the release of 2042. Combined with the open beta, there's a good chance you'll be able to spend dozens of hours on a new game before it launches properly.
