Batman Officially Postponed to 2022 Due to Major Reshuffle at Warners Bros.
Batman has officially been pushed back to at least early 2022 after Warners Bros. called for the postponement of the Robert Pattinson superhero film and a number of other DC Comics blockbusters in Monday evening.
The delayed release date for the next Batman blockbuster is not has become great shock, especially after how Dune Denis Villeneuve was shelved for almost a year.
Batman won't be the only DC Comics movie pushed back either. Flash and Shazam 2 have also been redesigned.
Warner Bros. The Batman has announced a new release date of March 4, 2022, six months later than originally planned. The Flash will now drop on November 4, 2022, while the Shazam sequel has been pushed back to a new release date of June 2, 2023.

This isn't the first problem Batman has had. Production was halted late last month after the lead star Robert Pattinson sick and was forced to quarantine.
Batman's shuffling comes after Dune moved straight into a collision course with a superhero blockbuster. Denis Villeneuve's adaptation was pulled from its announced December 18 date after Warners Bros. "overestimated" the market.
According to Collider, Villeneuve was allegedly very supportive of the decision to delay, largely because he "made Dune to be seen on the big screen".
High-profile DC movies were far from the only Warner Bros. productions to be announced on October 5th. The Shazam 2 spinoff Black Adam has been pushed back from its original date of December 22 and removed from the calendar entirely.
The video game adaptation of Minecraft was also removed from the release list.
