Blizzard puts dishonest Diablo Immortal players into debt

Blizzard cracked down on players who purchased third-party Eternal Orbs in Diablo Immortal, driving them into massive debt.

For those who haven't played Diablo Immortal, the free-to-play game has attracted a lot of attention for its heavy use of microtransactions.

Players looking to avoid expensive purchases have turned to third-party sources to purchase in-game premium currency at a lower cost.

Now Blizzard appears to be cracking down on those who bought third-party Eternal Orbs by placing them in heavy debt.

I bought a fake - hang Blizzard!

The players had no problems with the purchase Eternal Orbs from third party sellers for several months until Blizzard finally took notice.

Several threads on the Diablo Immortal subreddit claim to have either experienced debt themselves or played with others who have a negative balance. Eternal Orbs.

According to a Reddit user paleblood, "half of the clan members" on the server they play on reported that "they are in huge debt to the Eternal Orbs", claiming they have seen screenshots of players with 600 orb negative balances.

For the uninitiated, Eternal Orbs is Diablo Immortal's premium currency, which fans can purchase in varying amounts using the in-game store.

Players can purchase 60 Orbs for $0,99, 315 Orbs for $4,99, and even 7200 Orbs for a hundred bucks in the most powerful set.

Of course, third-party vendors offered lower rates, allowing players to buy more orbs for the same amount of money.

Unfortunately, Blizzard has finally cracked down on this practice as it violates Diablo Immortal's terms of service.

As punishment, all fraudulent Eternity Spheres purchased from non-Bleezes have been erased, which means that players who only bought third-party Orbs have a minus on their balance sheet, equivalent to the amount of pseudo Orbs spent.

Those who have suffered can apparently repay the debt by purchasing the number of orbs they owe.

To illustrate how expensive it would be to reverse this debt, the player paleblood claimed that he had a debt of 600 spheres, which equated to 000 dollars.

In addition, players with a negative amount of orbs are prohibited from joining parties or participating in raids or dungeons.

For now, it seems like the only option for those who need to dig themselves out of their debt is to purchase the proper amount of Orbs legally, or just leave Diablo Immortal out of their interests.
