Halo Infinite Season 2 Battle Pass will finally let players earn credits

Halo fans can finally rejoice as the Halo Infinite Season 2 Battle Pass will finally let players earn credits.

Since the game's release, Halo Infinite fans have been unhappy when it comes to shopping. Starting with concern from the community regarding what they saw as unfair pricing, the criticism quickly became toxic, leading to the game's subreddit being banned.

This backlash eventually garnered enough attention, leading 343 Industries head of design Jerry Hook to say that major changes to in-game cosmetics prices were on the way.

But even with the new changes, players were unhappy, pointing out the lack of purchasable single items in the store, prompting another 343 member to respond by stating that changes to the store "will happen gradually over time."

Halo Infinite players will be able to earn credits with the Season 2 Battle Pass

In the message on Halo Waypoint forums On January 21st, Community Manager John Yunishek confirmed that players will soon be able to earn credits simply by playing the game, stating, "Thanks to your continued feedback, we're excited to confirm that credits will be earned in the Season 2 Battle Pass."

According to Junyszek, it has been an ongoing process for 343 since launch, as the development team "followed the in-game discussion of the store, packages, and pricing."

The store brought in some hit items like the famous cat ears.

That's not all, as of January 21st, they have begun making changes to how they "package and value items in the store" with the goal of eventually lowering prices across the board while providing "stronger value" in their packages.

According to Junyszek's post, 343's plan is to start with individual items outside of sets and more. In mid-January 2022, 343 dropped prices on their weekly packs while they work on individual items later in the month.

As Halo Infinite fan frustrations begin to get answered, only time will tell if the developers will continue to make changes.
