Borderlands 3: How to Get the Lord of the Rings Shotgun

J. R. R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings has come to Borderlands 3 as a new mission and weapons in the style of the popular title have been revealed. Here is a guide on how to get the Middle Earth Shotgun.
Gearbox Software released Borderlands 3 September 13, and players have already discovered that the game is filled with easter eggs, hidden missions, and rare pop culture-style weapons that range from the popular Japanese anime One Punch Man and up to star Twitch streamer Dr Disrespect.
But now treasure hunters have discovered that the most popular fantasy story of all time, The Lord of the Rings, also has a place in the shooter. Here's how to find the mission and the rare shotgun:
How to find the Lord of the Rings mission?
Players must first travel to the planet Pandora and then to a location called 'Konrad's Hold', where the mission is called 'The Demon in the Dark', a reference to a fire demon named Balrog.
The quest will show up as an exclamation mark on the map and is hard to miss. Accepting it will take you to a lever that opens the door by pulling it. Players will then be directed into a storyline inspired by the fantasy series.
How to get shotgun Balrog-theme
You will eventually reach a section containing a well and a skull, which is a direct reference to a scene from the movie. Like the story, players must push the skull into the well, which will summon the demon "Lagromar", which has a Balrog-like fire attack.
The boss fight is pretty tough, so it's definitely recommended that you be above level 45, and going in with a friend will definitely help.
After the formidable enemy is defeated and the mission is completed, you will receive the legendary shotgun "Burning Chomper"
Unlike other Easter eggs such as rick and morty gunwho just fight bosses, Quest Lord of the RingsThis is a completely specific mission. As players make their way into the movie-like underground catacombs, they'll be greeted with puzzles and waves of enemies.
The Balrog-inspired weapon has a blue rarity, but its damage per shot is pretty insane. While the stats are randomized, firearms still pack a huge punch. When fired, the bullets come out in waves and shoot like a fiery whip (like the demon from The Lord of the Rings).
With a looting shooter filled to the brim with popular Easter eggs, players scour the planets from top to bottom for the next familiar reference.
