Is Borderlands 3 Finally Coming to PAX East?
Gearbox Software is preparing something big for PAX East and looks suspiciously similar to Borderlands 3.
Borderlands 3 is one of those things we could never be sure of. The idea has been teased and played with for more than four years since Borderlands came out, with a pre-sequel launched in 2014. However, it looks like Gearbox is ready to show something at PAX East on March 28th - something that looks very fishy, like it could be a new Borderlands game.
Gearbox Software released a teaser video for PAX East on March 12, 2019, posted on Gearbox's official Twitter. Little more than a road sign showing the date March 28 and "Boston, Massachusetts" (Boston, Massachusetts, where PAX East is held) is shown in the graphic, can also be seen at the top of the image. Many clear references to Borderlands are present in this preview!
With the usual wasteland motif in previous Borderlands games hanging around the road sign and the "number 3" left in the picture, it seems pretty obvious which direction Gearbox's mysterious announcement will go. Sure, there's a chance we'll be celebrating Gearbox's new Exit 3 game, but we get the feeling they know what everyone wants. The final episode of Tales from Borderlands from the now closed Telltale Games came out in late 2015 and, again, the last regular game was in 2014.
