We'll talk about upcoming new content in Borderlands 3 called Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite! We have a release date, difficulty level, some of the new legends and loot for you to earn!

Takedown is a new type of event that is coming to Borderlands 3. They are similar to the event Bloody Harvest, but instead of being temporary, they will be a permanent free addition to the game. All you have to do is complete the main story and you will have access to them as soon as they are released. These are meant to end content, so you need to make sure you've reached a high level and have legendary gear!

These takedowns are 30-45 minutes long, so you can play one of them and exit without worrying about losing progress. You can also bring your friends because the content is meant to be played in four-player co-op. You can do it solo, but it will be very difficult. Consider using the public matchmaking feature.

There are three full boss fights, as well as a bunch of new enemies to face in the area.

The developers, knowing that we all love new free things, shared a creepy surprise in the form of SHiFT code. If you've made your way through the Borderlands 3 campaign, you already know how stubborn the corporation Maliwan wants your death. With a seemingly endless army of soldiers equipped with highly advanced technology, Malivan's forces pose a threat not only to you and your fellow hunters, but to the entire galaxy as a whole. Lorelai helped lead an attack against Maliwan's forces during their attempted hostile takeover of the Atlas Corporation on Prometheusand she worries that they might come back to try and finish the job. To prevent another potential invasion, she asks you to take the fight straight to Maliwan with a pre-emptive strike against one of their safest, heavily guarded installations. It sounds like a suicide mission, but you've experienced many of these before. 

Unlike the rank-and-file infantry you've eliminated before, only the most elite Maliwan soldiers have been deployed to guard Maliwan's Black Precinct. You'll face tons of Spec Ops Maliwan squads on this brand new map, as well as three incredibly tough boss fights. Gearbox has hinted at some of the new Maliwan mercenaries awaiting your arrival, such as riot fighters whose shields absorb elemental damage that can be directed at you, and stealth soldiers who can fully disguise themselves as if they have meticulously learned FL4K's Fade Away skill. . You'll see even more enemy options if you've got what it takes to withstand being thrown into Nalivan's bunker.

The Borderlands show above also gave you a sneak peek at Wotan the Invincible, a mechanical boss behemoth that fires rocket barrages from behind his massive shields.

Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite is coming to Borderlands 3 on November 21st, so you've got some time to prepare your best builds and start strategizing with a group of like-minded Vault Hunters up to the task.
