Will FIFA 20 TOTW be canceled due to Coronavirus? EA Answers
EA SPORTS has released an official statement regarding future FIFA 20 Ultimate Team (FUT) Team of the Week Qualifiers after matches were canceled worldwide due to coronavirus concerns, but some players are still concerned about FUT Champs.
Many countries have taken action to ban large gatherings, preventing football fans from attending matches, and in some cases, such as Arsenal v Manchester City, the game has been postponed altogether. Premier League matches have since been canceled until early April following measures that banned handshakes before games to reduce the risk of spreading viruses - with other major leagues following suit.
With some players reaching out to the developers on social media wondering what will happen regarding the TOTW and TOTS elections if the leagues make the decision to completely suspend play, EA has moved to reassure players somewhat.
March 12, EA released 26th TOTW for FIFA 20 after a short delay. Some fans have since expressed their concerns about how the suspension of the major leagues will affect the football title, but quickly received a response.
Using your official account FIFA Direct Communication in On Twitter, the developers wrote, "We continue to monitor the current situation around the world, however we are currently planning to proceed with TOTW 27 based on appointments this weekend."
They also added that they will immediately inform the gaming community if the situation changes.
We are continuing to monitor the ongoing worldwide situation, however, we are currently planning to proceed with TOTW 27 based on the fixtures taking place this weekend.

Will FUT Champs be suspended due to Coronavirus?
With most of the major European leagues now in a period of suspension, EA's huge release of Team of the Week seems unlikely, but will that stop you in FUT Champs?
At the time of writing, it is unclear what will happen to new FIFA content due to the suspension, but they have not confirmed if FUT Champs will be suspended or not. It seems unlikely that a weekly tournament will follow the leagues and put play on hold, but that's the question FIFA players are asking.
As far as further implications, such as Team of the Season, it seems like the only logical thing to do would be to choose players who have performed well in every league up to the point where matches were suspended.
Presumably, if this turns out to be the case, the flow of permanent cards in uniform given to those who do well in real life would have to stop at some point. Although we have not yet reached this point.
