Bungie Introduces Seasonal Challenges to Destiny 2
Bungie, developer destiny 2, introduces new seasonal challenges for its sci-fi shooter.
In a blog post the studio has stated that this new content will reduce the amount of FOMO players experience in relation to Destiny 2. This new system will see 3 to 10 challenges appear each week for players for the first ten weeks of each season. This will push players into a plethora of game modes including strikes, gambit and crucible, as well as seasonal content.
They can only be completed once per account.
"Most challenges disappear after they've been introduced in a season, and anything that isn't claimed will be lost," writes Bungie.
“We don't add new challenges after week 10, so everyone should have a few weeks to clear any challenges they haven't completed. Any challenge that rewards unique or seasonal items (currency, books of knowledge, seasonal weapons, etc.) can be completed while there is a seasonal action in the game, but the experience gained from completing the challenge will only be available during the season . was introduced."
Bungie has also stated that the Crimson Days event will be discontinued. It was an annual Valentine's Day event that the studio is dropping because it felt it wasn't good enough.
Finally, the developer reveals that the trailer for the new annual season will go live on February 2nd. This will happen when the hunting season is over.
