There are several side missions in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War that will require you to carefully prepare and complete some actions before you can start the real mission. Operation Red Circus sets you the task of destroying Soviet Major Vadim Rudnik. You have a list of eight suspects, but you can narrow it down to three people. Time to do some detective work. Here's how to find suspects in Operation Red Circus.
What evidence is needed for Operation Red Circus?
The following evidence is required to successfully identify the correct suspects:
- Wristwatch Containing Dead Drop List (Desperate Measures);
- ➤ Cassette Tape with Activities Report (Echoes of a Cold War);
- Franz Kraus's Ledger (Brick in the Wall)
If you missed any of the evidence listed above, repeat the indicated missions and look for clues. When you have all three, you will have to solve the puzzle.
How to find the right suspects?
Each player will have their own unique information, so we can't just list three names. You will have to do detective work. First, examine the ledger of Franz Kraus. It contains three codenames: Bearded Lady, Strong Man and Juggler, as well as three cities and three dates. This is the first clue.
Review the list of suspects and pay attention to everyone who was in the specified cities on the specified dates. These are your first suspects. You will most likely have several people who have been to certain cities on certain days. Then study the Activity Report Cassette. She will tell you the gender of each codename. Take a look at the pronouns used in the descriptions to find out which codename is masculine and which is feminine.
To find the last clue, examine the wristwatch containing the list of the dead. Here you can find another set of cities and dates corresponding to each codename. Review the list of suspects again. Anyone who matches the cities and dates of the codename is the right suspect. For example, in this case, the Bearded Lady was in Barcelona on January 9th and in East Berlin on September 16th. This matched up with two possible suspects, Harvey Spray and Eliana Miller, but since we know the Bearded Lady was a woman (from the tape), we can deduce it was Eliana Miller. Of course, things will be different in your case, but this is a general principle that you must go through when choosing suspects.
After making sure you have the three suspects you want, select their portraits to mark them as targets. Then just start the mission as usual. On a mission, you won't be able to change your mind, so make sure you make the right choice before you start. Once you complete this mission, you can get to work on cracking the code and decrypting the disk for Operation Chaos.
