Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific and Vanguard Season One Officially Postponed
According to a tweet posted on Nov. 19, Call of Duty developers have officially delayed the launch of Warzone Pacific and Vanguard Season 1 by one week.
For over 600 days, Warzone players have been plunging into the chaos of Verdansk season after season, spanning both Modern Warfare 2019 and Black Ops Cold War. Now, with the release of Vanguard, many have taken notice of a new exotic map: The Pacific, Caldera.
But that eager anticipation for the new Warzone environment has been put on hold as the developers have said everything is being delayed.
Instead of jumping into the first season of Pacific and Vanguard on December 2, the studios expect the new elements to be available to everyone as early as December 9.
The first season of Warzone Pacific and Vanguard has been delayed
So far, the only information we have is the tweet posted above. In it, CoD explains that the integrated season 1 of Vanguard and Warzone will air on December 8th.
The Battle Pass and the new multiplayer season are expected to start on that date, however, Warzone will only be available to Vanguard players for private access. The next day, December 9th, Pacific's free-to-play offers will be available to everyone.
Warzone players frustrated by Pacific delay
At the moment, the developers have not disclosed why the launch is delayed, and the details remain unclear. Considering how chaotic the integration of Black Ops into the Cold War has been, it wouldn't surprise anyone if this new, larger change also started with difficulty.
However, few expected the delay, and many streamers are already reacting negatively to the news.
We will update this post every time there is news, especially if there are further delays. But, at least for now, players can go ahead and circle the new date on their calendar.
