PlayStation 5 Prices Going Even Higher in Russia
Sony officially raises prices for the PlayStation 5 in Russia.
According to Sony's official statement, prices for the PlayStation 5 will be raised in Russia!
Initially, the increase in the price of the console was noticed by visitors to the Sony Center brand store, then the tech giant confirmed this information to the DTF resource.
Devices will become more expensive by 3 thousand rubles. Starting April 1st, the standard version of the PlayStation 5 will cost 49 rubles (instead of 990), and the "digital" version without a disc drive will cost 46 rubles (instead of 990). The company indicated that the increase in prices is due to the increase and instability of the exchange rate.
Most likely, the PlayStation 5 will be hard to get even with such a price tag: due to the shortage of consoles and resellers, goods are sold with an extra charge of several thousand rubles.
The start of Russian sales of the PlayStation 5, if you can call it that, took place on November 19, but Russian retailers still have empty shelves.
