What to Expect When Cars Drive into Fortnite
Finally the long wait is over. Cars are coming to Fortnite on August 5th.
Epic announced their release in a series of tweets on August 3 and 4 to split the community for what could be the most anticipated release of Fortnite Chapter 2.
Because the community has been waiting for the machines for so long, insiders have been giving players what they want in terms of leaks as to how these machines will work. For example, we know that there will be four different types of cars in the game. Epic publishes the names of these vehicles as advertisements for their release, but FortTory gave us the stats back in June.
Some information about the upcoming new vehicles, the cars. We'll have 4 types of cars.

As many players already know, you will need to fill up the cars while you drive. You can already see gas station icons scattered across the map when using a boat or choppa - the former is disabled at the time of writing, although it has been visible for a few weeks.
We also know a little about the mechanics of cars. You will reportedly be able to mine metal using the tire drift mechanic to collide with things. The top speed will likely depend on the car, but it will reportedly hit 60 kilometers per hour.
As expected, cars will deal damage to players when they explode. The numbers in the game files were 200 damage to the player - one hit is enough. This may be changed when the machines appear, however.

.
-Mechanics:
--You gain metal when you hit stuff (similar to brute).
--You will be able to do Tire Skids (min speed of 20).
--You will be able to do Brake Skids (min speed of 10).
--There will be handbrakes that are usable.
According to some additional leaks, the number of cars spawning around the map will vary from game to game. There will always be at least one on the map and a maximum of 10.
Again, this is subject to change and may have been a placeholder as this particular piece of information came up a couple of months ago when cars were first discovered in the game files.
what if, the more the water lowers the more cars will be spawned. Sounds logical, what do you guys think? https://t.co/70IEPEF9UW
