Riot hasn't let up on League of Legends champion announcements, and the devs are hinting at a "mysterious" bot-stripe champion coming in Season 12. Here's what we know about 161 champions, including who they are and when they'll be added to the meta.
Season 12 of League of Legends kicks off with an abundance of championship releases and teasers. First Zeri, then Renata и Abyssal Forester, now on the maps a new unconventional bot laner.
In a gunslinger role, this "mysterious" new champion has a real shot at shaking up the meta. Here's what we know so far.
Who are the "mysterious" 161 League of Legends Champions?
Not much is known about the "mysterious" League of Legends champion. Champion Lead Producer Ryan "Reav3" Mireles shared a small snippet of his past during the Season 12 Livestream.
Reav3 described him as "a very enigmatic, unconventional bot lane champion that we'll be beating out later this year."
A composition of hands swirling in an artistic spiral with deep blues and purples (see the teaser image above). It has a lot of Ionic vibes, which will be interesting considering there aren't many bot laners from Ionia - Xayah is (technically) the only representative.
However, everything about his kit - besides being unconventional - is shrouded in mystery. We have yet to see3 what the new champion will be capable of.

When will the "mystery" bot lane champion come out?
All we know about the unconventional League champion is that he will be released at 12 season sometime in 2022. Given that he has Renata and the Void Forester in front of him, it could be sometime in the second half of the year before we see him.
