Is there a release date for Crysis 4?
Since the game is still in early development and the studio is looking to fill some of the game-related positions, it looks like we won't be playing Crysis 4 anytime soon.
The latest game in the franchise, Crysis 3, was launched back in 2013, which means that by the time Crysis 4 is released, there will be less than a decade between them.
Luckily, the trilogy has received a remaster in recent years.

The initial reveal doesn't reveal details, but it does give us the tagline "it's time to join the journey and be a hero."

Crysis 4 platforms
Crytek's initial blog post states that "a dedicated and talented team is hard at work to bring you a truly next-gen shooter", suggesting that the next entry will continue to push visual fidelity as has been the franchise's tradition.
With that in mind, it's very likely that PS4 and Xbox One (and Switch) will end up in the dust, unfortunately. We hope next generation means PS5 and Xbox Series S&X consoles.
