Crytek Downloading Something Crysis Related
After a long sleep, Crysis seems to wake up. Meanwhile, Crytek has been busy with games like Hunt: Showdown and Crysis has been taking a little nap. The super serious FPS super soldier series added Crysis 3 to the stable back in 2013. Seven years later, the official Crysis Twitter account is broadcasting signs of life.
Today at tweeter Crysis account has an entry (written in capital letters) "Retrieving Data". So what does that mean then? Well, we don't know, but bettors would put their money on either Crysis 4 or a Crysis 1 remaster. Personally, I'd prefer a remaster, as we're still in a boom of old games made new.
RECEIVING DATE
- Crysis (@Crysis) April 13, 2020
This follows from an April Crysis-related joke by Crytek this year. They updated Crysis website with an animated image of the main character of Crysis 1 Nomad. Instead of confirming anything on April 1st, people discovered that "April Funnies" was hidden in the site's code. Though now, perhaps it wasn't a joke after all. Smells like a remaster, doesn't it?
The original Crysis is one of the best FPS games on PC, so perhaps seeing it again would be more desirable than carrying the Crysis 3 torch into the future. Crysis 3 was very good for its time, but took itself way too seriously. I will never forget how I built my computer around it in order to get the highest quality picture (I bought a GTX 480 video card that was unimaginable at that time). What I happened to see on the monitor amazed me, and for this I would like to see the earlier work in the remaster. Although, many would not mind seeing the continuation of the ordeals of the lonely Prophet in his exosuit (I mean the 4th part of the game).
Can't wait for the next round of Crysis news, if I can.
