Cyberpunk 2077 is a PC game from the creators of The Witcher series based on the Cyberpunk 2020 tabletop RPG by Mike Pondsmith. The player is sent to the year 2077, where a character they create must survive in the futuristic city of Night City, California. The task is not an easy one - the metropolis is torn apart by gang wars, the intrigues of transnational corporations and domestic conflicts due to blatant social inequality.

Polish developer CD Projekt Red has announced that Cyberpunk 2077 will be delayed for the second time. The wildly anticipated first-person shooter RPG will skip a September release date and hit stores this fall instead.
Cyberpunk was originally slated for April 2020, however it was pushed back to September at the beginning of the year. On June 18, the Polish developer announced that the AAA title would face another delay.
In a Twitter post, the RPG team apologized to fans and explained the reason for their difficult decision. Thankfully, players will still be exploring Midnight City this holiday season.
Cyberpunk 2077 is delayed again
In a June 18 tweet, the Polish team revealed that cyberpunk will be pushed back until November. “We have decided to postpone the launch of Cyberpunk until November 19th,” the post reads. The developer then reached out to fans who would be upset about the update. “We are fully aware that making such a decision costs us your trust. And despite this, we believe that this is the right decision.”
Despite the delay, CD Projekt assured players that the game was effectively complete. “Cyberpunk is complete both in content and gameplay. Quests, cut-scenes, skills and items; all the adventure that Night City has to offer, it's all there. But with such an abundance of content and weaving complex systems, we need to get through everything the right way.
Interestingly, journalists are getting access to it to play the game right now, so that the preview will be published on June 25th. So we should be hearing a lot more about the game in the coming weeks.
Cyberpunk was originally teased back in 2012 by a Polish developer, and in 2013 viewers were treated to a gorgeous cinematic trailer. Development of the game began in 2015 after the release of The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt.
Recent reports have indicated that 2077 has more than three times as many quest opportunities as a fantasy RPG, and in an interview conducted in June, CDPR stated that its quests are "live" and continue to be completed regardless of the player's actions. .
While this announcement will no doubt upset some, the developer has already proven itself with incredibly complex game designs such as The Witcher 3, which is one of the most critically acclaimed games of the last decade.
From all we know, Cyberpunk 2077 promises to be hugely ambitious. With the Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X slated for release this holiday 2020, Cyberpunk looks like the perfect game to take us into the next generation.
