We finally have a release date for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, and Link's next adventure is only a few months away.
Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, or as we know it now, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, has to be one of the most hyped games on the horizon. Sequel to the 2017 Nintendo mega hit, it was first announced back at E3 2019, where a short trailer showcased the events following Link's climactic battle with Calamity ganon. It provided a grim, even creepy first look at the new Hyrule under more threat than ever before.
The darker tone and unsettling teaser of what looks like a zombified Ganondorf certainly got BOTW fans talking, but Nintendo has kept quiet about its most anticipated game ever since. However, at the demonstration Nintendo Direct in September 2022 we finally got The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release dateand it's not that far.
While the 2022 release window was originally given during the 3 Nintendo E2021 presentation, a later update provided no indication of when the highly anticipated game might arrive. Everything is much clearer now, such as the clear skies that Link will soon swim through.
When will The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom be released?
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom release date finally arrives May 12, 2023. This means that there is less than a year left before you can take to the skies over Hyrule, and we are very excited.
