Dead Island 2 May Coming to PS5 and Xbox Series Consoles
Dead Island 2 was one of the first games shown for PS4 and Xbox One back in 2014.
While its 2011 predecessor on PS3 and Xbox 360 met with mixed reviews from fans and critics, development on the sequel has been well underway since then. .
Dead Island 2 could completely change the islands
Dead Island 2 is a game, a synonym for the tragedy of development. Originally announced in 2014 at E3, the game has changed developers 3 times since then, and the game hasn't received any updates regarding any new frames, details, or anything else during those periods.
The game is currently being developed by Dambuster Studios.
The game was originally developed by Yager Productions, from which an unnamed developer took over the reins until Sumo Digital took control from the latter studio in 2016.
In 2018, Deep Silver donated the game to Dambuster Studios, who are currently developing the game.
According to Twitter user MauroNL (@MauroNL3), they noticed that some of the career pages on the website dambuster studios are clearly looking for people who can work on current generation consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series consoles).
Dead Island 2 is moving to a release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC only. Current developer Dambuster Studios lists the game for "Next Gen Consoles and PC platforms". The studio is also hiring for programmers with experience in DirectX 12 and DirectX Ray Tracing.

Dead Island 2 is another example of a game stuck in development hell, and it looks like these issues have cost them a huge amount of lost development costs with XNUMX developer changes, but it has also cost them a whole generation of consoles.
Perhaps thanks to the new hardware offered by the PS5 and Xbox series of consoles, Dead Island 2 will finally be able to fulfill the intended vision that the game was supposed to achieve.
At this point, even if the game does come out, fans are very confident that we'll have a cut in the entire Cyberpunk rout, but this time around, fans may not be as lenient on the developer.
Dead Island 2 and Dying Light 2 are two games that have been marred by controversy, and while the publishers remain silent and have assured fans that the games are in development, the lack of communication in recent years hasn't helped.
What do you think of Dead Island 2? Do you expect it to be released exclusively for the current generation, or is there a chance we can still see PS4/Xbox One versions without repeating the CDPR nightmare?
