Demon's Souls Revealed As The Next PS5 Title
Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed that Demon Souls will be the launch game for the PS5. The announcement follows the PlayStation 5 Showcase on September 16th.
On September 16, Sony held a PlayStation 5 conference where, after months of silence, they finally revealed the price and release date of the next generation hardware.
The conference was full of surprises - from the opening of Final Fantasy 16 to God of war ragnarok, which will appear in 2021. Following the end of the show, a post was posted on the official PlayStation Blog that Demon's Souls would be the launch title.
Demon Souls is a PS5 game.
The Demon Souls remake was first shown in June at Sony's digital event. While fans of the series got their first glimpse of what it will look like with an incredible cinematic trailer, not much has been known about the upcoming release since.
On September 16, Sony held a PS5 launch event that showed gameplay footage for the Souls remake.
After the event, industry veteran Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter that Demon Souls would actually be the PS5 launch title. "DEMON'S SOULS is a #PlayStation5 game," he tweeted.

Confirming this claim, the official PlayStation Blog has released a list of PS5 games that includes Demon Souls as well as Spider-Man: Miles Morales. This means that the remake will debut on November 12th.
It was also revealed during the gameplay video that the Demon Souls remake appears to be a timed exclusive to PS5. The official trailer features a screen that says, "Unavailable on other consoles for a limited time." The information is rather strange, given that Sony previously owned the IP for Demon Souls.

The remake will also play on PC, though it hasn't been confirmed at the time of writing what Sony means by saying it's a timed exclusive to consoles.
Initially Demon souls debuted on the PlayStation 3 in 2009. From Software started the phenomenon that would later be known as the "Soulsborne" series.
