Destiny 2: The Tower Is Slowly Expanding

Destiny img

Things look a little different in Destiny 2, and not just because we've entered the second week of the Shadowkeep expansion. A social location in the City known as the Tower, where guardians can interact with other players, buy something from the merchant and get a reward for the completed task is now going through some kind of mysterious construction.

The structure can be seen directly behind Ikora Rey to the west of the tower. It's similar to the building work that happened in the hangar, with scaffolding and railings and a few NPCs (non-playable characters) hard at work, but it's all brand new. This construction scene was not there earlier today.

Ikora serves as the game's main NPC for Vex's new offensive activity. Vex's offensive activity will have a big close on November 19th.

Bungie hasn't spoken publicly about building the Destiny 2 tower, but the developer has confirmed that Shadowkeep is the start of a new approach to Destiny 2 that focuses on making the game feel like a living world. As a result, some content will come and go every season to give the impression that the world is evolving over time.

In other Destiny 2 news, players are deciphering a puzzle that isn't part of the actual game. Owners of the Destiny 2 Collector's Edition receive a Cryptoglyph that serves as both a decorative piece and a combination lock. Breaking the code reveals a piece of paper with a URL, which then sends you on a series of clues. It has yet to be fully resolved.

Returning to the Moon is filled with spooky fun, and while Shadowkeep may not be as huge as Forsaken, it still provides some impressive additions to the world that will take time to fully explore. The more meaningful choice in Shadowkeep pushes me to think beyond just picking up my most powerful guns and shooting everything in my path. These are improvements that represent a giant leap forward for Destiny 2."
