Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Start Date 2022
Festival of the Lost returns 18 2022 October, the with weekly reset.
It's a little later than last year (October 12), but expect it to last until early November.
New Festival of the Lost content coming to Destiny 2
The trick or treat is back and Tyra Karn can ask you for a favor at the Iron Temple.
Bungie will be adding another event card this year, just like they did with the Solstice event.
While it was fun to earn extra goodies, none of them were worth the price of the card in our experience. Expect emotes, ghostly shells, and more.
We don't know yet what the new activity will be, but last year we added Enchanted Sectors, which was fun to shoot with friends to kill creepy versions of the enemies at the end. However, we'd be lying if we said we didn't miss out on the Haunted Forest and its randomized layouts.
One thing we do know is that completing objectives throughout the event will earn players Triumphs towards the new event title. Earn it and you'll be one step closer to the game Reveler, which will run through this event, The Dawning (Christmas) and Guardian Games (Spring) before returning to Solstice in Summer 2023.
Expect masks to return too - Bungie mentioned them in their last blog post, but one of the data miners has already found the corresponding files in the game. Is that a Caiatl mask?
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Rewards
Like last year, Bungie held a vote to determine the themed armor set that will be available to capture at Festival of the Lost 2022, and the choice has been made. Team Mech (with Gundam skins) and Team Monster. Team Mech almost won the vote with 52% of the votes from the players. You can check both options below:
In addition to new armor, a new sniper rifle is also expected as a weapon of the event. An as-yet unnamed weapon was found by a Destiny insider Light.gg, and it looks like it will fit in with the armor Mech theme with a sleek, metallic look.
The rifle will come with the Origin Perk 'Search Party' with the following description:
"This weapon provides faster aiming speed and movement speed when aiming down while scoped down when no allies are nearby."
