Destiny 2: Shadow Priestess Hunt Guide

For those chasing Skystrike in Destiny 2, this guide will make farming Creedy a lot easier.

Imperial Hunting is a new activity introduced in Destiny 2: Beyond Light. These missions behave just like quests, with modifiers and a final boss. While normal options are trivial for most PvE players, Master options are a major problem.

Champions, Match Game and additional modifiers make coordination essential to success. The Shadow Priestess is one of three Imperial Hunts that can be completed on Master difficulty. Completing this mission on the Master can be a real challenge, especially for solo Guardians. However, it's worth the effort as there's a good chance you'll get an Exotic Sniper Rifle. Cloudstrike for completing this mission. From equipment to strategies, here's a complete guide to winning the Imperial Shadow Priestess Hunt in Destiny 2 on Master difficulty.

Modifiers & Recommended Gear

Судьба 2 Ксенофаг

The Dark Priestess Imperial Hunt will have the following modifiers and key features on Master difficulty:

Key Features

  • Shields: Void (Minotaurs, Servants) and Arch (Captains)
  • Champions: Barrier and Overload

Modifiers

  • Arach no! Fallen Vandals create webs at their feet when defeated.
  • Hardware Locked: You cannot change your hardware once the action has started.
  • Match Game: Enemy shields are highly resistant to all unmatched elemental damage.
  • Hunger: All ammo drops have been greatly reduced.

Abyss Weapon or subclass is highly recommended for this Imperial Hunt due to the sheer number of Servants in each encounter. As with all major PvE activities, use the current seasonal artifact  to counter certain properties of the champion.

Most of the arenas in this Hunt are open and have long lines of sight, making scout and sniper rifles a good choice. Lots of common enemies will populate each arena, making War Cells and explosive weapons a good choice. Xenophage here he can easily disable targets at a distance, creating Warmind cells. To create Warmind cells, you will need to use a mod Wrath of Rasputin.

Subclass

  • Hunter:  Way of the Pathfinder will help you and your team get out of difficult situations. If you play conservatively, Revenant is also a good choice.
  • WarlockAttunement of Chaos can quickly deal with champions. Pair this subclass with Contraverse Hold for constant grenade uptime.
  • Titanium:  Code of the Defender has a great ultimate that is useful for absorbing Brig shots or granting extra damage in certain areas.

Weapon

  • Xenophage the best exotic heavy weapons for Imperial hunting. He takes out majors, bosses, and champions from a safe distance. With the Wrath of Rasputin mod, he can also generate Warmind cells.
  • IKELOS_SMG_v1.0.2 Able to create War Cells, deals high damage to common fighters and breaks the shields of Fallen Captains, which can be found throughout the level.
  • Anarchy / Witherhoard: both weapons inflict respectable damage per second and have excellent coverage. Fire a few shots and watch the enemy's health bar drop to zero. Anarchy can also break arc shields.

Mods

  • Wrath of Rasputin :  Allows you to deal Solar Burst damage to generate Battle Mind Cells. This works with solar abilities, Sunshot, Xenophage and all solar weapons with Dragonfly.
  • global reach Causes Warmind Cells to deal more damage from a distance. If you are using an IKELOS weapon, it is a must.
  • Shield Breaker Rush gives successive charges of charges of light.
  • Protective light Provides 50% damage resistance when your shields break, absorbing all stacks of charged with light. This is essential for flawless solo runs on Master difficulty.
  • Heavy weapons scavengers and reserves heavy weapons are vital to winning this Imperial Hunt. If a seasonal artifact has the means to create heavy ammo, use it.

Eveningtide Ruins

Destiny 2: Руины Вечернего Прилива

Evening Ruins Enemies

  • One overload captain
  • Shanks
  • Marauders

Guardians will appear in Eveningtide Ruins when they start this mission. To move forward, head to the gravity elevator in the northern part of the map. The elevator will be guarded by Shanks, the Marauders and the Overload Captain. If some public events are active, they will also be a threat. It would be wise to ignore these enemies and go through the elevator.

As you climb the gravity elevator, you will be greeted by a gang of marauders. Use a grenade or explosive weapon to destroy them. Pass through the ice tunnel to reach the Riis-Vozrozhdenie approach.

Riis-Reborn Approach: First Floor

Destiny 2 Riis-Reborn подход, первый этаж

Enemies on the first floor

  • One overload captain
  • One Minotaur Overload
  • One Minotaur
  • Servants
  • Goblins
  • Hobgoblins
  • Shanks
  • Vandals

When you get to this area, Vex and Fallen will fight each other. Use this distraction to change position or throw a properly placed grenade. You will face numerous rank-and-file enemies from both factions along with the Overload Minotaur at the forefront. Next to the back will be the captain of the overload and the servant.

Before you deal with the captain, destroy the Minotaur and kill the enemies. Warmind Cell will destroy most of the enemies in the arena. Once the Vex champion is dead, focus on destroying the servitor. Waiting to kill a Servitor can make the champion immune at the wrong time.

Four servants will be patrolling the stairs leading to the top floor, along with a few vandals. Use any Void weapon to lower their shields. Make sure you and your team have heavy ammo before moving to the floor above.

Riis-Reborn Approach: Second Floor

Destiny 2 Riis-Reborn подход ко второму этажу

Second floor enemies

  • One Barrier Hobgoblin
  • Two barrier servants
  • One Major Minotaur
  • One brig
  • Goblins
  • Shanks
  • Marauders
  • One overload captain

Immediately up the stairs there will be a small group of Vex fighting a band of Fallen. The goblins and the hobgoblin barrier will be closest to you. Try to get the hobgoblin away from the slaughter. When the Champion is defeated, kill the rest of the Vex.

Destroying the Fallen Brig is difficult, as it is protected by two Barrier Servants. Luckily, both Servitors tend to cluster together. Use a grenade or some xenophage rounds to weaken them. Try to get both Servants to activate their shields. Break both shields at once, then focus on only one of them. Since both of their shields are broken, the second servitor cannot render the first immune for a short time. Kill the first Servant, weaken the second, break its shield and deal the killing blow.

Now that the Servants are dead, turn your attention to the Fallen Brig. Stay away from the ladder while damaging it, preferably using a Xenophage or Scout Rifle. As long as you stay away, Brig will not be able to harm you with his cannon. Destroy it to get into the next room.

The room leading to Kell's Rising will have several Shanks, Marauders and one Overload Captain. This should be trivial after the brig fight. Kill them to open the entrance to the left door leading to the room with the Dark Shard.

Dark Shard Room

Destiny 2 Комната осколков тьмы

Dark Shard Enemies

  • Two barrier servants
  • One Major Captain
  • Shanks

As you approach this room, a large wave of Shanks will appear. Instead of rushing into the room, stay close to the entrance. Now was the perfect time to create and blow up the Warmind Cell.

Near the circular plate in the center of the arena are two barrier servitors and a captain-major. This is perhaps the most frustrating part of the Imperial Hunt. You will need to destroy both Barrier Servants to prevent the captain from becoming immune. Use the same trick as before; have both Servants create their shields before breaking them both. Once both shields are broken, focus on killing one of them. This can be tricky as enemies will try to block your shots. Be patient, do not weaken the onslaught, and this meeting should end by itself.

Gale's Watch

Судьба 2 Часы Гейла

Enemies of Gale's Watch

  • Two overload captains
  • One brig
  • Shanks
  • Scoundrels
  • One Major Captain

The battle will take place on the stairs leading to Gale's Watch. Try to damage the Fallen Brig in the center of the room. If someone is using an Anarchy, Witherhoard, or Attunement of Chaos subclass for Warlock, now is the perfect time to deal passive damage from cover. Attach the Brig with a few shots or a grenade, then go up the stairs twice and wait.

When the Brig is destroyed, focus on the two overload captains at the back of the room. Aside from a few supporters Shanks and Brig, they are the only other threat in the room. Kill them to open the next room.

In this small room, several villains and a captain-major will appear. Lure them into the room where you just fought Brig. The destruction of the captain and villains will open the way to the boss.

Creedis, Priestess of Darkness

Судьба 2 Кридис, Темная жрица

The last enemies in the arena

  • One barrier employee
  • Garbage
  • Vandals
  • Creedis Boss
  • Scoundrels
  • Marauders
  • Servants

When you enter the room, one Barrier Servitor will spawn. Get back to the door so the fallen ones don't attack you. Kill the Dregs, the Vandals, then the Servant to open the path to Creedis, the Dark Priestess.

Creedis will live next to the frozen body of Eramis. This fight behaves the same as the Eramis fight at the end of the Beyond Light campaign, only this time the boss will become immune to all damage after losing 25% of his health. Medium to long range attacks are recommended, as Creedis uses a variant of Shadowlord's Penumbral Blast ability, which instantly freezes any Guardian it comes into contact with, for four seconds.

Removing a quarter of Creedis' health will spawn three Servants and a few fodder enemies. To make Creedis vulnerable, all three Servants must be destroyed. One on each arena plate. Use Void weapons to break their shields.

Repeat this process three more times to kill Creedis. No additional mechanics or enemies are added in each phase; just kill the Servants to make the boss vulnerable. Remove all four pieces of Creedis health to complete the Imperial Hunt.
