Destiny 2: Season of the Vanish - Festival of the Lost 2021
I put a spell on you and now you're...in dinosaur armor?
The Festival of the Lost is back in Destiny 2, but this year is a little different. Sure, there's spooky new loot to get your hands on, but you won't just be rushing your way through the Haunted Forest like you normally would. The event starts today after Destiny 2 Weekly Reset , but since Bungie has been surprisingly tight-lipped this year, there aren't many details yet. Let's take a look at everything we know about the Festival of the Lost 2021.
Destiny 2 Festival of the Lost Start Time
Festival of the Lost starts with a weekly reset. The event will run from October 12 to November 2, so you have a few weeks to claim all the rewards.
Festival of the Lost Gameplay: What to Expect
Bungie's latest teaser shows the Guardian in Master Rahul's mask dancing with pumpkin emotes, so expect plenty of spooky loot. This year's theme seems to be heavily centered around this year's Día de los Muertos. We know that the Calavera ghost skin, specially designed in collaboration with Luis Yepes, will be available for the first time and looks pretty cute. Maybe it's just a ghost shell that convinces me to drop my orange cat shell. You can get it using Silver or Bright Dust during the event.
Since Mercury was under domes, players will now visit haunted sectors rather than the haunted forest. These are modified Lost Sectors, which are now very scary for Mood and Ness. You'll also encounter the creepy Headless, who have glowing pumpkin heads and are full of loot! It could just be Savathoon laughing at us, wow old witch!
This year will also see dinosaur-themed decorations that I'm sure you had on your 2 Destiny 2021 bingo cards. There will also be another unique weapon that can be equipped with gauntlets during the event - Jurassic Green Pulse Rifle. There's a new cauldron emote, penguin and pyramid masks, and a sparrow spider. Consider this your only arachnophobia warning!
Like every year, you will likely need to wear a mask to be able to collect Festival of the Lost resources. Just remember to take yours off at the end of the event so you don't ruin important videos in the future... Lesson learned.
