Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes - How to Complete Quests and Upgrade Armor Faster

Solstice of Heroes 2020 Destiny 2 already started. Again, Guardians will be able to participate in a variety of activities throughout the system, including the returning European Air Zone (EAZ) to earn "Gorgeous" Solstice armor tier and even some awesome glow effects. Here is our guide to help you.
Solstice of Heroes 2020 Event at Destiny 2 will run from 11 August to 8 September. However, the Moments of Triumph event (which lets you earn the MMXX title/seal) has been extended to November 10th due to a delay in the release of " Beyond the world." There are two triumphs that relate to the Solstice event (explained in more detail below).
Note. The Solstice of Heroes 2020 event is available to all players Destiny 2 regardless of who has the season pass.
The main goal of the Solstice of Heroes is armor. We're going to start with a rare set, upgrade to a legendary set, and then finally, if you want, you can hone that armor set and get the glow. If you want to skip the tips for each class, use the timestamps below and skip to this section as there are tips for Titan, Hunter and Warlock, armor upgrade tips and requirements. There are other cosmetic items available in the game, but mostly they are bright dust or silver. The Solstice of Heroes is an annual celebration of the year as we enter a slower summer period leading up to the fall expansion.
This event will make us travel around the solar system, participating in all kinds of activities such as strikes, crucible, gambit, patrols, public events, as well as the return of the European air zone. Before we do any of that, we want to go down to the Tower to get started.
First you need to go and talk to Eva Levante in the Tower, she is our main contact at the event and will give us our first armor set - the upgraded armor set. Before you do anything, you'll want to put this on so you can start leveling up your gear.
Once you receive your gear, you will be directed to the European airside. This is a returning zone on Earth where we have to defeat a series of mini-bosses and then the final boss at the end. There is a timer, so we want to win as many as possible, the more we win, the more chests will appear at the end. At the end of the event, you will receive a notification that chest locations will be revealed, but they will only be there for a few seconds. Try to climb high to see the chests appear and then go and grab as many chests as you can.
There will be packages inside the chests and you will receive key fragments to drop into the EAZ as well as events in the solar system. Open packages with key fragments to get rewards.
Follow the function of the daily element. Each day one of the elements will be shown - Solar, Void and Arc. This will change daily. If you match this with your subclass and weapon, then you will be able to create spheres of this element and they will be very useful for leveling up your armor sets.

All the requirements for each piece of armor are pretty similar for each class, they tend to differ depending on the race of the enemy you have to defeat, and the elemental orbs.
For example, to get an upgraded chest for a Titan, you need to complete 5 adventures, collect 100 Solar Orbs in Strikes, and defeat 25 Guardians in Crucible or Gambit. With the Warlock, you will again have to complete 5 adventures, collect 100 Arc Orbs in Crucible or Gambit, and open 10 Solstice Packs. Whatever class you're going for, all the activities in the game like strikes, gambit, crucible, adventures, public events, patrols and definitely EAZ.

General Tips
- Try to pick up elemental orbs quickly because they don't last long, they last much less time than say Gambit motes, so if you see them go, pick them up right away.
Updated Titan Armor
As you go through certain requirements for certain game modes, this should always contribute to all categories. Follow this throughout the process and complete any remaining requirements at the end.
Gambit / Crucible
- You can mix and match Crucible and Gambit - don't create Gambit Prime or Competitive PVP playlists as they don't drop elemental orbs.
- ➤Kill the Guardians first, you will probably complete 5 matches along the way
- Get empty kills by changing your weapon and subclass to invalid, and it's probably quicker to complete this requirement in Gambit than Crucible as there are more enemies around you to kill.
Strikes
- ➤Make sure you are hitting from the Vanguard playlist.
- ➤To collect 100 solar orbs, you will need a solar subclass and a solar weapon.
Patrol
- ➤Participate in public events on Nessus. Once you've completed a Public Event, immediately go to the Director and boot back into the area next to the Public Event you just attended. Return to a public event and you can catch another instance at the end of the same public event, allowing you to complete more efficiently. If you don't succeed the first time, try a few more times and you might just get lucky.
EAZ
- ➤Probably best to do this one last time as you will be generating key fragments along the way
- Complete enough runs until you get 10 packs
- Equip an Arc subclass for 50 kills and it will complete 2 targets at the same time.
Once you've completed the requirements, upgrade your armor at the statue.
Majestic Titan Armor
Gambit / Cruicble
- ➤100 guards with arc weapons in a team. Hard light is fine here as you can flip the element at will.
- ➤10 Gambit matches will take time. Prime is faster, but you won't get Elemental Orbs, so it's probably best to do 10 normal Gambit matches, as you can then contribute 1000 Elemental Orbs while you do so.
Strikes
- ➤Make sure you are on the strike playlist and not selecting them on the map so that your actions count towards the armor requirement.
- Check elemental burn and make sure you have the same subclass and weapon to get the 600 kill target.
Patrols
- ➤Complete 10 Heroic Public Events, and upon completion, you will again be able to dip into Public Events twice. Don't leave too early, make sure it counts towards your booking goals before loading back into the public event location.
- Complete 5 patrols on Io.
EAZ
- ➤Kill 200 enemies and collect 200 orbs.
All
- For 2000 elemental kills, try using your elemental weapon during actions to do it faster than kinetic weapons.
- ➤100 ability kills could be done with supers, otherwise melee kills (throwing hammer would be good on a medium solar titan tree)
- ➤For 300 solar weapon kills, you can go on a whisper mission.
- ➤Same for 100 solar melee
Once you've done that, you can upgrade to Magnificent Armor. Once you do that, you can get random armor rolls by opening Solstice Packs. In order to get a Magnificent Glow (white glow) on each of your love sets, you need to complete the following requirements.
- Helm: Complete the Nightfall Trial on Master difficulty.
- Gauntlets: Complete the Nightmare Hunt.
- ➤Chest: Complete Pit of Heresy.
- Boots: Win seven matches of the Trial of Osiris. (None of the aisles)
- Class Item: Complete Altar of Sorrow Level 5 three times.
Other glows can be purchased in the Eververse for Bright Silver Dust.
If you are only working with one character, you can do it right away. If you have multiple Guardians, I would wait until you have leveled all Guardians to Magnificent Armor as you can do all of this for all three characters at the same time.
Updated hunter armor
As you go through certain requirements for certain game modes, this should always contribute to all categories. Follow this throughout the process and complete any remaining requirements at the end.

- ➤To collect 100 arc orbs, you will need an arc subclass and a solar weapon.
Patrol
- ➤Participate in public events on Nessus. Once you've completed a Public Event, immediately go to the Director and boot back into the area next to the Public Event you just attended. Return to a public event and you can catch another instance at the end of the same public event, allowing you to complete more efficiently. If you don't succeed the first time, try a few more times and you might just get lucky.
EAZ

- ➤Perform enough runs until you get 10 packs
- Equip the Sun Subclass for 50 kills and it will complete 2 targets at the same time.
Once you've completed the requirements, upgrade your armor at the statue.
Hunter's Majestic Armor
Gambit / Cruicble
- ➤100 empty weapon guards per team. Gnawing hunger here would be good.
- ➤10 Gambit matches will take time. Prime is faster, but you won't get Elemental Orbs, so it's probably best to do 10 normal Gambit matches, as you can then contribute 1000 Elemental Orbs while you do so.
Strikes
- ➤Make sure you are on the strike playlist and not selecting them on the map so that your actions count towards the armor requirement.
- Check elemental burn and make sure you have the same subclass and weapon to get the 600 kill target.
Patrols
- ➤Complete 10 Heroic Public Events, and you will be able to double-dip into Public Events once they have been completed. Don't leave too early, make sure it counts towards your booking goals before loading back into the public event location.
- Complete 5 patrols in the EDZ.
EAZ
- ➤Kill 200 enemies and collect 200 orbs.
All
- For 2000 elemental kills, try using your elemental weapon during actions to do it faster than kinetic weapons.
- ➤100 ability kills can be done with supers or melee
- ➤For 300 kills with an arc weapon, you can go on a whisper mission
- ➤300 kills can be made on Mars in Escalation Protocol
- ➤20 bosses either Escalation Protocol or The Reckoning

As you go through certain requirements for certain game modes, this should always contribute to all categories. Follow this throughout the process and complete any remaining requirements at the end.
Gambit / Crucible
- You can mix and match Crucible and Gambit - don't create Gambit Prime or Competitive PVP playlists as they don't drop elemental orbs.
- ➤Kill the Guardians first, you will probably complete 5 matches along the way
- Get Arch Orbs by changing your weapon and subclass to Arch, and it's probably quicker to complete this requirement in Gambit than Crucible as there are more enemies around you that you can kill.
Strikes
- ➤Make sure you are hitting from the Vanguard playlist.
- ➤To collect solar orbs, you will need a solar subclass and a solar weapon.
Patrols
- ➤Hold public events (other classes said Nessus, but check in-game for a public event venue). Once you've completed a Public Event, immediately go to the Director and boot back into the area next to the Public Event you just attended. Return to a public event and you can catch another instance at the end of the same public event, allowing you to complete more efficiently. If you don't succeed the first time, try a few more times and you might just get lucky.
EAZ
- ➤Probably best to do this one last time as you will be generating key fragments along the way
- ➤Perform enough runs until you get 10 packs
- Equip the Void subclass for 50 kills and it will allow you to complete 2 targets at the same time.
Once you've completed the requirements, upgrade your armor at the statue.
Majestic Warlock Armor
Gambit / Cruicble
- ➤100 solar weapon guards per team. Hard light can again be useful as you can change the element.
- ➤10 Gambit matches will take time. Prime is faster, but you won't get Elemental Orbs, so it's probably best to do 10 normal Gambit matches, as you can then contribute 1000 Elemental Orbs while you do so.
Strikes
- ➤Make sure you are on the strike playlist and not selecting them on the map so that your actions count towards the armor requirement.
- Check elemental burn and make sure you have the same subclass and weapon to get the 600 kill target.
Patrols

All players who complete the Solstice Origins quest will receive a free Solstice of Heroes music track, and you can sign in to your Bungie Rewards account to learn more. Along with this new armor, there are also a slew of new cosmetics, including the Ghost shell, a new sparrow, and finishers.
