Destiny 2 Recreated in Minecraft
Guardians, welcome to Minecraft!
Minecraft has become home to incredible entertainment, some of which are so mind-blowing it's hard to believe they're real! The latest creative hybrid combines Minecraft with Destiny 2 as one player faithfully recreates the social hub of the space shooter Tower in a building adventure.
The video below is taken from YouTuber EetzJosh as they guide Destiny 2 fans through his Minecraft Tower game. It's obviously not quite accurate, but damn close. As someone who can't even build a simple one-story house in Minecraft, I was definitely blown away:
They even faithfully recreated the secret way to get into Zavala's office, a place that should be familiar to most Destiny 2 players as it's a necessary step towards new exotic perfection. They even included a picture of Cayde-6 because we all know Cayde deserves more!
According to the creator, “168 hours spread over 3 months finally allowed me to release this. I'm very happy with the final product and definitely don't regret the hours I spent on it. I would really like to thank Mealyac and Limonada (bungie.net profiles linked below) for helping me make this happen, and I appreciate every minute you spent working with me on this project. I would also like to thank the community at twitch.tv/buttters for all the support they have given me throughout this. A total of 226 blocks have been placed in this world. This was all created in Minecraft 089 using Optifine and BSL Shaders.”
It's a lot of dedication for this Destiny 2 Minecraft homage, but a dedication that Zavala himself would be proud of! Bungie should reward this fan with a special emblem or something for their hard work, because it's just incredible!
