Will EA SPORTS Finally Add FUT Crossplay to FIFA 22? All We Know
FIFA 22 is due out soon, but fans are still wondering if it will finally feature cross-platform play as the feature was missing from previous titles. Here's everything we know at the moment.
FIFA 22 is the first game in the series to be released after the release of next-gen consoles, PS5 and Xbox Series X. FIFA 21 came out a little early, although a next-gen version arrived a few months later.
Fans were disappointed to learn that EA SPORTS didn't plan to include crossplay between consoles, let alone different generations of consoles in the previous game. This is what they have been asking for over and over again.
But how are things today?
Will there be crossplay in FIFA 22?
There is no official word yet on whether FIFA 22 will feature cross-platform play.
EA SPORTS just released official trailer , after which they announced the release date, which falls on October 1.
Judging by their position in previous years, the fans are not hopeful that this will happen. However, there are many more announcements ahead of the release date, as well as a deeper dive into new details about the game.
Also, since crossplay has been the norm in other games for some time now, it seems like it should only be a matter of time before EA SPORTS introduces it to the FIFA series, not to mention Madden NFL 22 and other sports titles.
While it's disappointing, we still don't know if FUT will finally support cross-platform play despite this being a common practice in other franchises, but there's still a chance it could happen.
Either way, we'll have to wait and see what EA SPORTS has to offer to make FIFA 22 the biggest and best version of the game yet. As always, you can find the latest information right here on PortalVirtualReality.
