Activision and Infinity Ward have released the official roadmap for Season XNUMX of Modern Warfare, detailing all of the new content that will be released on Day XNUMX and over the coming weeks.
The highly anticipated second season of Modern Warfare was finally officially revealed on February 10 after after a lot of leaks about new content surfaced in previous days.
Like the first season, the next chapter will be filled with content that won't be released right away; some content will launch on day one, but the rest will be available at various locations throughout the season.
Modern Warfare season 2 roadmap:
There are many highlights from the roadmap; five new maps will be added between multiplayer, skirmish and ground war.
A host of new modes and playlists will also be released, including the CDL playlist, which will contain the official Call of Duty League ruleset, although not in line with the rating mode that everyone called for .
Players will also be excited to see that in addition to the two new weapons released on Day XNUMX, a third "secret" pistol will be added during Season XNUMX.

When does Modern Warfare Season 2 start?
Modern Warfare Season 2 will be released on Tuesday, February 11, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. It will be launched as part of a massive update that will likely be released around 10:00 AM PT / 13:00 PM ET .
What's coming out on the first day of Season XNUMX?
There will be a lot of new content launching right on Day XNUMX of Season XNUMX, including several new maps (two multiplayer, one ground war and one gunplay), the return of the Gunfight Tournament, a CDL playlist, a Ghost Operator, and two new weapons.
NEW MULTIPLAYER MAPS

NEW MULTIPLAYER MODES
- Shootout Tournament - Engage in solo 2v2 gunfight and fight to get rewards. 32 teams will enter, but only one can be crowned the Gunfight Tournament Champion. Gunfight Tournaments will run for a limited time.
- CDL Playlist - Fight like the pros in this Call of Duty League ruleset playlist. In this playlist, the settings and available weapons, maps and modes have been changed so you can fight like the best of them.
NEW OPERATOR

What will be released during the second season?
The rest of the content, and there's certainly a lot of it, will air at various points during Season XNUMX, likely via weekly updates every Tuesday.
This includes another new multiplayer map, two operators, several new modes for MP and Gunfight, and weapons that have yet to be discovered.

- Infected Ground War - the outbreak occurred in a ground war. Join your survivors to hold off the Infested Horde until time runs out. Infected players will have limited gear but increased movement abilities, so be careful of their sneaky play.
- NVG Reinforce - Battle under the cover of darkness in the NVG Reinforce playlist. Empowered is a hybrid target mode that combines elements of Dominate with Search and Destroy.
- Destruction - As in Search and Destruction , this respawn mode puts two teams against each other with the goal of attacking or destroying bombing sites. The attacking team must destroy both bomb sites within the time limit to win the round. Destruction of one site increases your time. Destroy, defend and be mindful of demolition explosives.

Since there is no Season Pass or purchasable DLC model in Modern Warfare, almost all of this new content will be free for everyone on three platforms at the same time.
The only exception will be the premium levels of the Battle Pass, which will cost 1000 CoD points to unlock. However, all of these items will be purely cosmetic and cannot affect gameplay.
