The game's ambitious character collection is set to expand in 2022 as the XboxEra podcast reveals Microsoft's iconic characters are set to debut in Fortnite.
Favorites Bethesda, Xbox and Microsoft went to Fortnite
According to Nick Baker, co-host of the XboxEra podcast, Microsoft is gearing up to release a bunch of Xbox-themed characters in Fortnite. While Baker and co-host Jeff Grubb don't give out the full roster, Baker reveals that the revered Bethesda Doom Slayer will eventually debut in the game.
“Microsoft had Gears characters, Microsoft had Master Chief… now those characters are coming to Fortnite,” Baker originally revealed on the podcast. "I'm not going to reveal all of them, but one of them is Doom Slayer," Baker added, detailing the timeline for these new characters.
Grubb suggests that Fortnite will expand its roster exponentially to include some of the best characters in the gaming world: “By the end of 2022, expect a lot of characters from video games. ".
However, Baker says characters like Doom Slayer could take months to get ready for release.
No matter when the Doom Slayers rip and rip their way through Fortnite, it will no doubt be thrilling to take this character for a spin.
