— Jin Sakai
Jin Sakai - main character Ghost of Tsushima , voiced by Daisuke Tsuji. This is a noble samurai from Tsushima , one of 80 who confront the approaching Mongol invasion.
Biography
Drin Sakai grew up on the island of Tsushima. He was trained from childhood in a strict, disciplined environment to become a true samurai.
As a child, his father was killed protecting him, and Jin feels guilty about his father's death, because when he asked him for help, his son chickened out! Now he is alone and under the care of his uncle.
His uncle Shimura is the jito of the island. Jin lived like this all his life until the Mongols came. When the Mongols invaded Tsushima, they killed most of the samurai civilians, devastated the island's cities, and took Shimura prisoner. Sakai was one of the few survivors. Jin considers it his duty to protect the island and its people at all costs, as well as save his uncle. Samurai followed the moral code of Bushido, such as death - no mercy for cowards without honor, or death is better, if only there is no shame.
The Mongols greatly outnumber him and the inhabitants of the island, so he must find new ways to defeat them. He can use his swordsmanship as a samurai or learn new Ghost tactics that violate his code of honor. People on the island say good and bad things about it. Jin is constantly progressing to become more than a legendary warrior.
Gameplay
As a samurai, Jin can engage in fair combat with enemies. At the start of the game, he already had proficient skills as a swordsman through years of training since childhood. However, as the Ghost, Jin uses "dishonorable" tactics of guile and cunning to defeat his enemies. In time, as Jin develops these skills, Mongolian army will begin to fear the raids of the Ghost.
