'Save your money!': Fans divided over early access to FIFA 23
After catastrophic launch of a web application FIFA 23 coins officially opened early access for those who purchased the Ultimate Edition. There is also a ten-hour trial for subscribers EA Play. Players immersed themselves in the new game and found several flaws. Some of them made subtle criticisms, while others were outspoken in their criticism of the game.
While the web app allows players to open packs, trade, and build their starting squads in anticipation of the full release, Early Access allows fans to play the game and get familiar with the game mechanics.
Fans Divided Over Several FIFA 23 Gameplay Changes
The FIFA community is always active on Twitter. They often discuss all the names and share detailed information. For FIFA 23, this is no different. The community is buzzing with opinions that span the gamut.
Since gameplay is the most important part of any FIFA game, social media is rife with discussions about the changes made to FIFA 23 coins. However, fans are divided regarding their overall experience with the game.
Twitch streamer and YouTuber Ryan Haber expressed his thoughts on FIFA 23 articulately and objectively, giving a point analysis of the gameplay and how it feels in the game.
However, not everyone was so constructive with their feedback. Many dissatisfied players took out their frustration on social media, calling the gameplay slow and terrible. One fan in particular even went so far as to say that the community should save their money instead of spending it on the game.
My expectations from #FIFA23 were low, but even here I was disappointed. If you haven't purchased FIFA 23 yet, please stay away from it. The game is incredibly poor. The script is worse than ever. The gameplay is unresponsive and slow. Save your money people!
While some feel that the slower nature of the game is detrimental to the overall experience, others feel that slower play promotes a more tactical and realistic approach.
My first impressions of FIFA 23 gameplay; it feels very tactical, skill moves are actually good (when used at the right time), passing is actually helpful (at the right time), the pace is kind of there, overall feels more tame which is actually amazing, #FUT23 #FIFA23 #RTG
Many players preferred to play the old generation version of the game that had no mechanics. hypermotion, as it provided faster and more arcade-like gameplay. With Hypermotion 2.0 introduced in FIFA 23, many players have commented on the slow and difficult gameplay. They claim that slow gameplay can be avoided by choosing to play the previous game. Thus, the new game seems less attractive.
FIFA 23 next gen gameplay is so crappy, players feel so clunky and slow that I'm going to play on the old gen it's so much better
The new Power Shot feature introduced in the game has also been a success among fans. This mechanic allows players to deliver insanely powerful shots on goal with the downside of a slower animation speed. This adds a nice dynamic to the gameplay where players are rewarded for creating space in their opponent's defense.
Anyone else pretty much happy with FUT gameplay at launch? AI less involved ✅Lots of goals ✅Power Shots (and long shots) crazy fun ✅Feel like I would be really happy with FIFA 23 for the next twelve months if there were only minimal adjustments have been made.
In the early days of the game, there was no definitive meta. However, over time, players gradually discovered the overloaded tactics and mechanics. This year is more of the same and pro players are already doing their best to find better exploits and other ways to score.
The first day of FIFA 23 was pretty eventful. While the community may disagree on the state of the gameplay, no one can deny that the franchise brings football fans together unlike any other.
