Epic Games Announces New $2 Fortnite FNCS Tournament

FNCs

A new major tournament, the Fortnite Champion Series Invitational, offering a massive $2 million prize pool will be held in the near future for the highest ranked players.

After finishing Season 2 FNCS Finals , Epic Games wasted no time, announced on his blog postthat they will be hosting another major event.

The FNCS Invitational is planned to host the best players from each region and platform to showcase the highest level of competitive gameplay.

When does FNCS start?

The FNCS Invitational will begin on Saturday, May 9th, featuring many of the world's best players, and will span over three weekends in total.

However, Epic has revealed that they will be hosting an open qualifier with 2 reserved seats on May 100, and uninvited uninvited Champion ranked players can jump into action a week earlier for a chance at the Main Event.

Format and Players

Epic Games also shared that the FNCS Invitational will be a solo competition and that only the best players will advance each weekend.

Since they are inviting the best in each region, Epic has divided their invites into groups of 100 based on previous performance and accomplishments, which can be seen in the full invite breakdown below.

  • ♦100 best players from Chapter 2; Season 2 PC Final
  • ♦100 best players from Chapter 2; Season 2 Console/Mobile FNCS Finals
  • ♦100 best players from Chapter 2; Season 1 Finale
  • ♦ Top 100 FNCS Season X Finals Players
  • ♦Epic invites up to 100 players
  • ♦100 best players in the May 2 Qualifier

They also shared that they will be adopting a new scoring system for the FNCS Invitational, with 4 points per elimination and 1 to 33 points per placement.

The prize fund

The total prize for the FNCS Invitational has been set to be a whopping $2 million to be shared among the top competitors.

Epic also revealed a complete breakdown prize pools, which vary greatly in size depending on the region and stage of the competition.

As you might expect, the prizes increase significantly every week, and even XNUMXth place players receive several hundred dollars for their efforts after the final.

Despite some concerns about major competitions due to the ongoing health crisis, Epic games show no signs of slowing down and continue to entertain battle royale fans amid their record astronomical developments.
