Battlestate games is gearing up to release a brand new addition to the Lighthouse map in the next major Escape from Tarkov patch. Here's everything we know about the new features.
The Tarkov developers first announced that patch 0.12.12 would be focused on the Lighthouse back in December 2021. In April 2022, they released many new teaser images to show how close we are to new content.
While we don't have an official release date yet, it seems like more and more information about the new patch is coming out every day. Here's what we know about the major additions coming with the Escape from Tarkov's Lighthouse update.

The big news of this expansion is the fact that we will finally be able to get to and explore the actual Lighthouse on the map with the same name. Previously, snipers would kill any player who tried to move across the bridge, and the Lighthouse itself was unreachable.
Along with the unlocked Beacon, there will be at least three new Raider bosses (more on those in a bit) and a new trader called Keeper of the Light.
Unlike other traders (Prapor, Mechanic, etc.), you will have to look for him on the Lighthouse map itself and bring specific items if you want to buy what he offers.
There will also be new areas around wastewater treatment plants open for exploration. Like on Lighthouse Island, new bosses will also appear here.
New Beacon Bosses: Knight, Bird's Eye, Big Trumpet
On April 5th, Battlestate officially unveiled three new Raider bosses coming to Lighthouse: Big Pipe, Knight, and Birdeye.
Earlier, Tarkov director Nikita Buyanov said that the sniper boss would be in Mayak itself. Looking at the trio of bosses in the image above, it doesn't take a genius to figure out that Birdeye is likely to take this spot.
This leaves Big Pipe and Knight to fill in the areas around the water treatment plant. Each of them will drop their own unique loot like the other Tarkov bosses, but we don't know what that will be at the moment.
New weapons: Rhino revolver, rocket launcher
So far, we know for sure that several variants of the Chiapa Rhino revolver will be added in the Lighthouse update. The six-gunner will also get a speed loader mount, so players don't have to waste time loading individual bullets.
There will also be several flare gun variants that will allow players to call their own airdrops. Nikita has indicated that there will be different kinds of outbreaks, but what exactly they will do remains unknown at the time of writing.
In addition to everything listed above, new materials and crafting items will also be added, graphics updates, and the ability to change weekly and daily quests.
We don't know exactly when the 0.12.12 patch will be released, but as the developers are teasing and testing all this new stuff, it should be soon.
