Does Thanos have Superpowers (No Infinity Stones)?
With the Infinity Stones, Thanos can do anything, but what happens when he doesn't have them? Turns out he's still pretty strong.
In Avengers: Infinity War, Thanos did something that hadn't been done before - he defeated the Avengers. This feat was largely achievable thanks to the incredible power of the Infinity Gauntlets, which allowed Thanos to control space, time, and even reality itself, but does Thanos have any powers without the stones? In the movies, not quite, but in the comics, absolutely.
While Thanos' backstory isn't explored very deeply in the MCU, we at least know that he comes from a world called Titan. This is true in the comics as well, where it is also explained that Thanos is son of A'lars and Sui-San, who belong to a race called the Eternals. The Eternals - who will have their own MCU movie in 2021 - have a variety of powers, including super strength, invulnerability, and near-immortality. However, Thanos also carries the genes of Deviants, analogues of Eternity who have monstrous appearances. That's why Thanos looks the way we see him, while the rest of the Eternities are stereotypically gorgeous.
