But there are also plenty of stats associated with each one, so it's not always easy to pick the perfect Eve Echoes ship. EVE ECHOES: THE BEST STARTER SHIP

SLASHER (GRINDER)

"Not Atron?!" we hear your cry. But alas no, the Slasher is our pick for the best Eve Echoes starter ship. It may not have as powerful a capacitor as the Atron, but it optimizes guns that do not consume power on your ship. You can also buy it right away by spending five thousand of the 20000 ISK you start the game with. Last but not least, it looks so cool! Do you know that these wings fold when they deform? It's like the Eve equivalent of a fighter on a draw.

KESTREL

The humble Kestrel is a great choice for a frigate as it's a decent all-rounder, but it also boosts the power of rockets and torpedoes, which we know are the ultimate combat tool. It also won't cost you crazy amounts of ISK like many other frigates.

VENTURE TRAINER

The best fishing ship of the Eve Echoes is, of course, the Venture. Ever since the Eva became so well known for mining, the Venture has also become Eva's most iconic and recognizable ship. You also get Venture Trainer - the basic version - for free if you follow the advanced instructions. It allows you to carry several drones, as well as a cargo hold with ore. This is truly a Swiss army knife for any novice miner looking to make some money.

EVE ECHOES SHIP: THE BEST DRONES

TRISTAN

One of my favorite ships in Eve Echoes, and probably one of the best ships in the game, is the Drone Frigate Tristan. For the price and the power it gives, the Tristan is one of the best Eve Echoes drones out there, allowing early players access to much-loved mech helpers.

ALGOS

Algos is the next step in drone control. This drone-carrying destroyer is extremely powerful, gives huge bonuses to drones, but at the same time can have its own arsenal. There is also an Algos Trainer ship option for those who are not willing to shell out the full amount of ISK.

VEXOR

This is the Doom Drone, the grandfather drone and one of the most powerful ships in Eve Echoes. While that's not surprising given its 13000000 ISK price - don't worry though, there's an 8000000 ISK version of the tutorial. This cruiser is basically a flying fortress with powerful defenses and lots of drone buffs, including a powerful distance control buff.

CARACAL

To be honest, as a drone user, I would put Vexor here too, but Caracal deserves its own place, and here's why: missiles. The Caracal Cruiser is one of the most powerful missile ships in the game, and since missiles are arguably the most powerful weapon, it is a strong contender for the ship with the highest potential offensive capabilities. There's also a Caracal Trainer, in case the 13000000 ISK price seems a bit high.

EVE ECHOES SHIP: SHIPBUILDING

No matter how expensive your ship is, at the end of the day, it is only as powerful as the modules and weaponry it is equipped with. Here are some tips for installing the Eve Echoes ship:

➤ Power Capacitor: the amount of MW your ship produces is very important as it determines what you can equip, so always keep that in mind when buying a new one.
➤ Use your strengths: ships have inherent strengths, whether they are lasers, drones or railguns, and you will always be stronger by equipping these modules.
➤ Embedding: it is worth paying attention to the number of slots on the new ship, as this changes its potential load. You can view this information in the ship tree by clicking on your character's icon.
➤ Technical level: as with the power capacitor, it doesn't matter how pretty the module is if you can't use it. Make sure you have the appropriate technical level if you are purchasing new modules.

EVE ECHOES SHIP: SHIP INSURANCE

None of us are planning to explode in Eve Echoes, but it happens. That's why insurance was invented. Vessels of tech level 3 and below are repaired using beginner insurance vouchers. Here's how to get the most out of your boat's insurance:

➤ If you have an accident, go to the nearest station in a capsule.
➤ Once there, open the mail and check the battle log.
➤ In this loss report, you will see a repair button under a large number in ISK. If you don't have an insurance voucher, you can pay for one, although it's often quite a hefty sum.
➤ If you have an insurance voucher, money for repairs is not deductible.
➤ You can get insurance coupons in the 26 offered Daily Consumables if you also have an Omega Clone. Although after these 26 they are no more. So be careful!
