EVERYTHING IN OUR GUIDE TO MINING IN EVE ECHOES

EVE ECHOES MINING: HOW TO MINING

Since you don't start with a mining laser, mining in Eve Echoes can be a little tricky, but here we'll walk you through the process:

  • ➤First things first: you need a mining laser. The MK3 Mining Laser, if the first one is available to you, usually costs around 40000 ISK - so save up for the reward!
  • ➤By purchasing a laser and taking it from a reputable seller, you can install it on your ship. The power consumption of this mining laser is not too high, so it should be enough for your starter ship.
  • ➤Now undock, open the location tab and find the asteroid belt you want to move to.
  • ➤ Once there, click on the asteroid of your choice and select the castle. After blocking, simply press the mining laser icon as if you were using a weapon and go!
  • ➤Like weapons, mining lasers have an optimal range, so click on an asteroid and use the orbit tool to select the optimal mining distance.
  • ➤Once you get the ore, return to the station and process it in your inventory. After processing into minerals, you can sell them.
  • ➤One good tip is to invest in production. The market in Eve is always flooded with ore, but if you can take those minerals and turn them into a fancy piece of equipment or a ship, you can sell it for a lot more ISK, and in a much less crowded market.
  • It is also worth considering that industrial ships are best suited for mining, as they have holds of ore, which allows you to carry a lot more per trip.
  • Another handy way to get minerals is to recycle ship equipment that you don't use or that you have salvaged.

EVE ECHOES MINING: COMPRESSED ORE

Compressed Ore is what you can find by mining in Eve Echoes. While slightly rarer than its normal variant, you'll recognize compressed ore when you spot an asteroid with "compressed" in its name.

The ore you mine from this asteroid can be processed into 10 times the amount of mining, which means that it is very valuable! They are a little rare, but like any ore, the chances of finding them increase in the lower second.

EVE ECHOES MINING: THE BEST ORE FOR MINING

There are tons of different ores in Eve Echoes, but in general, the best ore to mine depends on a lot of factors. Here's what to consider:

  • ➤Yield:  compressed ore is always good, as it gives 10 times the yield of minerals compared to the amount of ore mined.
  • ➤Rarity:  mining at a low level and without seconds allows you to find rarer ores that cost more
  • ➤ Minerals:  The best ores to mine in Eve Echoes are the ones that give you the greatest variety of valuable minerals. This is the reason Pyroxer is so popular, because it provides four different minerals, but is not ridiculously rare.

If you take the factors of what minerals an ore gives, how much it costs, and the rarity of that ore, it's not hard to figure out which is better. It's also worth considering that the best way to make money from ore is through production, and if you follow the plan, you'll still need very specific minerals. Therefore, the best ore to mine is one that breaks down into as many essential minerals as possible.

EVE ECHOES MINING: EVE PIROXER POSITIONING

Pyroxer is a very useful ore as it's not that rare, but it does give you Mexallon and Noxius in addition to the normal Pyerite and Tritan mining. While we don't know any exact locations for the Pyroxer, we do know that it is in security status systems 0,4 to -1. Your best bet is to find systems that match this security status using the star chart overlay, and then try your luck with some of the asteroid fields in those systems.

EVE ECHOES MINING: PLANETARY PRODUCTION

An important part of Eve Echoes mining is planetary production and collection of unique materials that you can get from planets. Here's how to do planetary production:

  • ➤Open the production of planets by clicking on the image of your character and selecting the section in the lower right corner.
  • ➤This gives you a list of planets in your system
  • ➤Click on a planet and you will see the resources available for mining.
  • ➤Click "place development array" to start mining
  • ➤Click on the plus sign next to the planetary resources you want to mine - with a limit of two - and click "Confirm".
  • ➤You can click the plus next to the timer to increase the duration of mining
  • ➤When the time runs out, click to pack your resources and then "set as destination" to move to the planet and collect them.
